I had this several months back and unfortunately it won't let me have it now as a result :disappointed:
Not really fair since it was months ago and I thought this was a separate promotion, bit tight really for a free rental, tempted to moan to CS, see if I can get it as a promotional balance...
Calldean to ST3123

Eh? How is it not fair? "I had free stuff, and now I want more free stuff."
ST3123 to Calldean
19 Sep 17#22
Can never have too much free stuff! :stuck_out_tongue: Maybe fair wasn't the right word but seems a bit tight for a company with profit in the millions to say you can only have one free rental.... ever! maybe one within a period of 12 months would be more fair.
Anyway, I wouldn't actually take it any further really as I have had some truly phenomenal deals from Amazon this last year or so, many of which they could have easily cancelled as misprices but they didn't so, personally plenty happy with them still, just seems a slightly onerous policy on a freebie that would cost them very little to provide....

This has been around for a few weeks. Coupled with my no rush deliveries I have about £30 credit and no films to spend it on as I have Prime which has move than enough. Good spot for those that were unaware. We used it in the old man robber film with Michael Caine. Buy the film, you are charged and credited instantly.

19 Sep 17#41
How can we tell if we have the credit! I am sure I have used it before and can see an order from about 8 months ago. States only on your first video order so would guess I have used it. Has let me claim it again was browsing other offers when I saw it earlier. There is no confirmation until you have placed the order so expect to get stung for a rental I wasn't bothered about but fell for the "go on its free"...

Not actually that simple IME, I tried it on a friends account who had regular prime and it didn't work, you need to be a student AND have prime, so that is another account and another NUS card, unless they let you make another account in the same name (so the NUS card matches), but I'm pretty sure they would check for that.
Either way far more faff than it's worth for a free rental, especially since Play store regularly runs 99p deals anyway...

If it's a purchase (rather than a rental), then you can watch it on up to 4 different devices linked to your account. You can watch it as many times as you like, for as long as you like (except during certain periods when it may be temporarily unavailable).
If it's a rental, you'll have 30 days from when you rent to start watching, and once you start watching, most movies have a 48-hour window to finish watching. Once the rental is over, the movie will automatically disappear from Your Video Library.
Turns out I already had it but I might use it now I've been reminded. Thanks

Most films on there look crazy expensive. Luckily the credit doesn't expire until New Years Eve but it's not hard to see why people use pirate streams with pricing like that tbh.
