This appeared to be free for me, and couldn't see it on here already...
"Narrated by award-winning actor Martin Sheen, The Home Front: Life in America During World War II takes listeners into the lives of Americans at home who supported the war effort and sustained the country during wartime. The war brought immediate, life-changing shifts; from the rationing of butter, to an explosion of war-related jobs, to mixed-signals about the role of women in society. Feel what living in the United States was like for everyday people during this disruptive and uncertain period of American history in the newest Audible Original series."

Nice find! I Love Martin Sheen. Thanks for the tip. Downloaded now.
For those who are having trouble getting it... Follow the link and click on the image of the banner. It should take you through to the purchase for £0.00 page. I'm already a member so it's not solely for new accounts.

Also currently free for me and I'm not sure for how long or how good they are
Can't find any good membership offers at the moment.
The Audible Daily deal can also have some good books on it, though this is also subjective, you can find this on the front page of audible.co.uk

There is supposed to be a free Whispersync audiobook and kindle every month. This month's book, Frankinstein, has been listed on the site but using the link below there should be a free book every month. The book stayed the same for several months but the last few months there appears to have been a different free book every month.
These tend to be classic literature, Dickens, Jane Austen, etc.

When I try it I get the start the free trial signup page. If I'm going to be starting a free trial I don't want to waste it on a book that is free anyway.

Be very careful to remove the 30-day trial before checking out. A bit sneaky. But heat for the audiobook.
