FIFA 18 10 hour game trial has now been added to Ea Access. You need a valid Ea access membership to get this and I think your Xbox live membership needs to be gold not silver but don't quote me on that  I started the download this morning it's about 43GB

If you buy EA access for the month for £3.99 you can then access the 10 hours. Once the 10 hours is up you cancel you EA access and the £3.99 is returned to you. You can then do the same on multiple accounts.

Does this work with Origin Access too? Also, whats the time limit before you're unable to get the refund?

I'm not sure with Origin. I've only ever tried it on the Xbox. You can get your refund anytime. You just have to cancel the subscription before it renews the following date of the next month.

Thanks for your reply. I was planning on buying the C.Ronaldo edition so I can get it early anyways but to get a 10 hour trail just before the 26th is a bonus. Do you receive discount ordering when you have ea access? thanks
MasseyK to pedroruigomes1986
21 Sep 17#11
Yes 10% with ea access, however if you have fifa 17 buy the icon edition through the menu as you get another 10% off making it cheaper than ronaldo edition
pedroruigomes1986 to MasseyK
21 Sep 17#14
How do you mean mate? buy the game via fifa 17 menu? If I enter the 1 month code. Then go to fifa 17 in game menu buy the icon edition via there will this mean it's 20% of the £79.99?
MasseyK to pedroruigomes1986
21 Sep 17#16
Yes the in game menu gives you 10% off then the ea access gives you an additional 10% so you get the icon edition for £72

unsure what you mean by Origin Mexico, but buying games from foreign regions is alive and well, I use :avforums.com/thr…502 and I bet there are threads still on here about it. I am looking at getting Standard edition from Argentina for £37

Damn... 10 hours... Not enough to finish The Journey story mode, which is the only bit I'm interested on.

I'd imagine 10 hours is more than enough to finish journey mode tbh, the first one was only 8 or so hours

The FIFA 17 10 hour trial only allowed you to play up to a certain point in Journey mode to prevent this, I imagine this game will be the same.

I've played this trial and the demo of pes and the actual playing did seem better on pes and if bought fifa every year for years but I play pro clubs and ultimate team and I don't think you get them on pes.

22 Sep 17#42
Bought every single FIFA title for the past 9-10 years. Last year even though I wasn't going to buy FIFA because I got fed up with it being the same game every year, I stretched it and bought 17 on the release day for £25, the price was the only reason why I got it. Finally this year I gave up on FIFA so I moved to PES and the gameplay is a big improvement over fifa. It takes getting used to it and switching from FIFA's engine to PES engine but playing few games in demo made me realize it's much better than fifa and definitely worth its £35 price tag.
PES has plenty of online modes and also myclub which is basically the ultimate team mode.

There is an ultimate team version on Pes. its quite primitive. My hate with PES is its scripted. If AI wants to score, then no matter what you do - they go score. This is to encourage you to make subs. Alos, the contracts are only for a few game & so is fitness. I tried to like PES last year & it was great for a dozen games or so, then it became painful to play as you knew what the AI was going to do when your team gets tired. Tried this years demo & uninstalled midway through 2nd match!

PES used to be fantastic back in the day. They still playing catch up to FIFA though. Start saving them pennies for FIFA - cos PES will P you off in a few weeks.

Hopefully they don't cut short 'The Journey' in the trial like they did last year. TBH though, the section of the The Journey I played last year was great, and then carried it on when FIFA 17 went free in the Vault later in the year. Come on Alex Hunter ;-)
I'm not sure why anyone would buy an EA game these days, I'm more than happy paying £20 a year to play all the games with a 10 hour trial then the rest 6 months later for 'free'. I've been doing the same with the new NBA Live trial. The 10 hour trial is great for getting a feel of the game, but will definitely wait until the game is in the Vault to carry on my streets season.

22 Sep 17#55
The in game discount is only for the Icon edition, if you combine the 10% EA Access discount and 10% through FIFA 17 in game menu you'll get Icon edition for £72.
Ronaldo edition will be whatever price it is minus 10%
Either way you'll save money by buying 1 month EA Access for £3.99 then pre ordering your FIFA and cancelling the EA Access for a refund.

1. Yes this is easy to do 2. Yes you will be able to use the remaining £3 towards FIFA points 3. Purchase the EA Access via the console at £3.99 4. Use the gift voucher codes as payment when purchasing the FIFA 18 Icon Edition via the advert on FIFA 17 (the new price of £71.99 will not show until you have purchased the EA Access). 5. Complete your purchase of FIFA 18. 6 . Enjoy 10 hours of FIFA 18 early access before deciding when you want to cancel this subscription (i havent cancelled mine yet so cannot confirm how long the refund of £3.99 will take) 7. Buy yourself some FIFA points with the spare £3.01

Wait for this to go on EA Access and save yourself the STRESS of getting scripted losses and the BOREDOM of getting scripted wins next year please haha! Even when you've dominated every single stat at half time and full time, it is still highly likely somehow, the kid you're playing who doesn't know half of the skills/button commands what you do, still beats you 1-0 or 2-1 or sometimes even 5-0 or more, when you get them randomly scripted matches where you can't keep possesion/make more than 2 accurate passes consecutively/ hit the target with an open goal from the cetre of the goal from 1 yard away. Or my favourites, every time the player you're controlling doesn't respond to your button commands and also decides to fall over for no physical reason and the auto-switching mechanic literally not working at all for most of match because EA decided to make your world class team incapable of playing football, even at amatuer level for the next 90 minutes. Also I have won alot of games on the last 5/6/7 Fifa games where I also knew for a fact that I was being given scripted wins as the same things I have listed above where 100% happening to the person I was playing against. I could see it myself ALOT and they would also tell me this in a party chat. If you're happy to experience that ^ hundreds of times throughout the next year or more, then line the pockets of EA who clearly do not reward players for being good at their game and only care about money from pre-order sales and ultimate team points.
