Loved it on PS3 but clearly a dead cert to be a PS PLUS game before this time next year so can leave it I guess.

I've just started playing this week and can repeat that it is very easy to begin with. Only just unlocked the back 9 of the first course after hours n should be a way to increase the difficulty to speed things up a bit.
Good fun though!

Changing it to "serious mode" at the tournament choice screen slightly increases the difficulty and also increases the speed the level bar fills up. Hope that helps

Need some 2 player games for the kids. Might go for this.

The grind is a pain in single player but the greatest thing about it is genuine sofa multiplayer. It's the one game that the whole family will sit and play on as the way you can customise the swing and switch on auto-impact, as well as effectively handicap players in the settings means even the young kids enjoy it without frustration.

Also, probably worth mentioning, when playing against friends (or random people) online in game rooms, it will still allow you to play even if you haven't unlocked the course they've selected.

I want this but all the talk of the grinding puts me right off. Golf games should be a nice casual escape, not something I've got to plow hours into just a play a different level :disappointed:

Bargain at this price! I paid 23 and I’m loving it. I’ve played it every night this week before bed and I’ve just unlocked the fishing! It’s great fun and very addictive. It’s frustrating too in equal measure. It does take some time though to unlock new courses. I’m addicted to getting super back spin! :nerd:

Out of interest, does it run at 60fps?

I don't think so. On the PS4 Pro, you have the option of 1080P 60FPS or 4K at a lower frame rate, but not both, so that suggests on a vanilla PS4 it might be 1080P 30FPS?
I played the Vita version for nearly two years, but I've given up on this already. I was enjoying it until I unlocked the custom clubs and realised the extent of the grind.
Really regret buying it.

I'm really enjoying this however it's a little bit too grindy compared to other versions.
I've put about 20 hours in and still only opened 3 courses....
And It's far too easy for these first 20 hours too.
Still enjoying it though and a no brainer at £20!

Hmm, guess so. That's a shame. Cheers.

Offline too. I've been playing for hours offline and haven't gone near online yet. Worth noting though that the courses only open up after playing the offline game for quite a while. You'll need to unlock them offline before you can play against others on them online. And it does take a while to unlock new courses, in all fairness. I'm still only up to two courses and have put in a good few hours.

Can you play this offline or is it all online?

I bought this the other day, and am loving it. Not a quantum leap over previous games, but if you enjoyed them, you'll enjoy this. Fore!

£15 for me as well, good price though. Plus anyone who was on the beta gets a free costume (a bear I think?).
