Pros and cons please?

Tempted with this but its pretty much even on people recommending or saying its rubbish.

Found this;

Pros:

Very good picture quality
Good viewing angles (Better than I had expected)
Built in sound
Stand takes less than a minute to assemble and is really simple
Fantastic value for money.

Cons:

Basic looking thing, no bells and whistles
Cheap feeling plastic stand, but realistic for the price paid
In-built speakers well below par obviously

You can just return as unwanted within 14 days, you don’t have to give a reason.

Dnt ever buy 28" or less then 40" size monitor or tv if u Wana go for 4k.

"I left a review of this monitor last time it was posted, you definitely get what you pay for. The build quality is sub par, very plasticy and flimsy, like even part of the plastic on the mount was shattered from shipping. The speakers are laughable not worth using at all, and even when disabled they let out an audible hiss. The panel is not so bad since most 4k monitors at 28" use the same one, but differences in back-light used can effect the image and this one is pretty poor, the colours look very washed out by default and requires some serious tuning to look acceptable, which you'd have to do in your graphics card settings as the settings on the monitor are lacking. My panel also had a group of dead pixels. I returned it immediately and bought an IPS 4k monitor from LG and am very happy with it well worth the extra I paid."

Been using an AOC 4K monitor for about 18 months now. Once you go 4K, there's no way back especially for productivity. The ability to run four full HD windows on one glass pane shouldn't be underestimated.

If you just care about quality of the image for gaming etc and can put up with the cons of everything else it's ideal.

For me I just want the cheapest 4k monitor I can find. The poor sound output doesn't bother me as I use headphones anyway

Why would a 4K monitor be any use to a console gamer?

This is a monitor, not a TV - you're not going to run this at native resolution. The ideal size for 4k monitors is 22-24", and 5k at 27".

Anyone recommend a nice 32-35" 4K display with ips? Thanks

I will avoid all the 4K arguments (I think 28" is too small for general use); and concentrate on the brand.

ElectriQ give you a LOT for your money, however to get the spec they have also cut too many corners; build quality is poor across their entire range, and reliability makes 2000 era Philips TVs look like 90's Toyotas.

I looked at their 4K screens last year, when looking to upgrade; and dug into a few specialist forums that the general public rarely venture into, as there were few consumer reviews at the time. There were lots of early reviews praising the make, then page after page of fault reports; with some people reporting multiple failures, the original, its replacement AND the replacements replacement all developing faults in less than a year. One guy reported he bought 4 to equip his new office, and all 4 had to be replaced within 8 months, and all of the replacements developing faults within another 8 months.

Now, that was a year ago, maybe they have improved since then, but I would have to think long and hard about buying one of these, buying a lower spec make for the same money, or saving some more for a better brand.

i got the 55inch really bad tv poorly made the sound is terrible wanted to send back said you have to pay £60 postage you will be dissapointed

I paid almost three times this amount for an equivalent gsync monitor. Really wish I did my GPU research a bit better.

Seems to be back in stock at the same price as the deal!

Any opinions on the monitor from anyone who took advantage of this deal?
