Lowest price I have ever seen for outright purchase direct from Dyson (eBay outlet). Refurbished with 1 year warranty and free return within 30 days.
Not for everyone but if you are in the market for one, looks like it's worth a punt.
£299.99 but £50 off £200 spend before sept 7th.

Same here, just tiny scratches that you cannot even see if not looking closely, the whole thing looks new to me, no complaint, This is my 4th Dyson over the years, very impressed with all of them!!

Returning mine for a refund, if they don't want to replace it.
It was not in "near-new" condition at all, but more like well used: large dents and scratches in the metal wand, scratches on the main unit and battery, filter not even replaced, dust inside, bad pet smell... This is not just a customer return/open box, it's something that has been used.
It's to wonder what type of quality checks they go through. Usually, they at least replace all accessories. They don't do grading of refurbished items, but this would be a "C".
I have bought at least 3 times already from the Dyson Outlet shop: last time, received something of similar quality (had pet smell), but they ended up replacing it by a brand new one sealed in retail box (courier took the old one while delivering the new one), after sending several replacement parts that made no difference.

Sorry to hear that. Received mine yesterday. Another happy customer. Like new. It really is a great vacuum too. Super impressed

Mine just arrived today. I imagined it to be like a refurbished phone--new and shiny--however, it was rather scuffed and noticeably used.
It works fine though! The filter and things look new, just some scuffs and scratches to the exterior envelope. I hope the battery is new too as thats really the main age affected component.
Still, £100 odd off RRP is pretty good. I saw a brand new one with damaged box on curry's ebay for 280ish after purchasing this one though, kicked myself when I saw it!

I'd consider returning it under free 30 day return policy. At the very least they could send another one to replace it and you might have more luck. You have spent £250 which is a substantial outlay so you should be happy with it...that said if it's functioning correctly, then you could accept it has scuffs as even if it was new it would be marked and scuffed after a couple of weeks of use in any case.... Hope all goes well

Mine has just been delivered. Arrived in dyson black box. Very well packaged. Appears in mint condition and smells factory fresh. Must just be a customer return who didn't want it. Delighted at saving £100+ on new price. Hope others have similar experience.

I have the V6 absolute and find the suction on crevis tool etc absolutely crap, is the V8 any improvement? Was looking a shark duoclean IF250UKT as a replacement, anyone used both that can give a comparison?

I get about 15 mins of battery on this on the high setting, If you plan on doing a full car or a large house, be prepared to do it over 2 days  I don't understand why they didn't just make it so you could use it plugged in instead of having to charge it again!

Just used our new v8 absolute & amazed at the performance. We were using a normal upright Dyson previously and this thing is so light & easy to use. It also managed a thourgh clean up of our 3 bedroom house no problem with plenty of charge left. Definitely recommend

I've just noticed some fake sellers on eBay listing cheapish V8's, they have zero feedback and their accounts were only set up yesterday
Top 3 are no longer registered and last one has no items to sell.
Guess eBay have removed accounts and listings if it was there listed.

I reported all their auctions last nigh, so it looks like someone at eBay is on the ball for once, normally they ignore the reports

This what I call an excellent refurb deal, unlike most refurb deals posted here that are only 10-15% less than a brand new one. Should be 30% off min meth heads (currently watching breaking bad)

How well do the batteries last in these things? After a couple of years, do they start getting a bit rubbish (like phones and laptops), and can you replace them?

Had my V6 for two years and not changed the battery or noticed less time using it? Parts are easily available and there are plenty of strip down videos on YouTube. I love my V6 it's so easy to strip clean and I guess replace parts (never had to do that yet...)

Yes...I was a little sceptical about a refurb but so many people seem happy with them and many are as good as new apparently. The 30 day free return takes the worry away for me.

Does anyone know how well this does on hard floor?? Or is it definitely worth buying a dyson that comes with the soft roller head to be used on hard floors???
gallopingbanker to redfanatic
2 Sep 17#7
Apparently the soft hard flooring head is very good (I.e 10/10)...however the reviews say that the animal motorised brushhead is excellent and does a great job on hard floors too (I.e 9/10). That's good enough for me...I'm gonna give it a whirl and if not happy, I'll send it back for refund.

Yeh I basically have 50:50 carpet and hard floor and can't decide whether to go for this or go for the V6 total clean! Do I go for the extra charge time on this or for the total clean with the head! If its opened and used will they still refund if I was unhappy??

What always gets me about "refurbs", how do they have so many, so ask yourself have loads of them being returned by customers to allow for them to be sold on eBay as used, which then brings into question, if brand new ones were returned, what like will a refurbished one be like, with or without a 12 month warranty.
dannyjones106 to herby247
3 Sep 17#24
Dyson sell thousands of new cordless models every week. The percentage of returns is tiny, but still equates to a high amount that end up as refurbs for sale.

I have one, it's okay for Singles or Motorhome, but if you actually have Pets and a family... I wouldn't bother. It doesn't really pick up well on the standard power setting; the high powered setting lasts about 5 mins and it's dead. On top of that you have to keep hold of all these attachments, only two of which fit on the stand. The plastics are really poor quality, they are brittle and break easily, the stand is the first thing to go... plus you're constantly emptying it out, to where having no Bag sucks as it makes everything messy.
I don't get the craze personally, my 15 year old Miele is still my favourite.
horsey to slannmage
3 Sep 17#18
I also like Miele's, I have two S7's, but I'm getting a bit bored trying to find broken ones on eBay just so I can replace the hose that fails every two years. To buy a new hose from Miele is something outrageous, like £110.
Nice machines, blatent rip off spares. At least Dyson spares are dirt cheap and easily available
slannmage to horsey
3 Sep 17#23
I use the cylinder ones, they're much better than the uprights, I've never had the hose break on me. The only problem I've had is the door break on, but that's because of some dumb kid ripped it off.... but yeah parts are stupidly expensive.
I cannot recommend bagless though, I don't understand the appeal of then having to put the crap in a bag yourself and dust getting everywhere.

Why do people buy things because of the brand name even when better can be cheaper ,at this price i suppose a dustpan and brush by Dyson should retail at £50!, :raised_hand: lets face it at this price Katie Price would buy it and dump it next week !
