Guys make sure you register for the 5yr warranty.. the mini motorised tool went wrong roughly a year after i bought it - dysen didnt offer any extended warranty when i bought it so they want to charge 60quid for a new one... im making do with a non motorised version which is a bit **** compared to the motorised version

Just reminder: "We offer a guarantee on parts and labour for five years on our upright and cylinder vacuums, and two years on cordless machines, hair dryers, purifiers, fans and fan heaters." at Dyson website.

At this price I had to get one for my mother who at her age can't lift henry up the stairs. Hope she remembers now to charge it unlike her mobile.

I've just got AO to price match, and with their 10% off making it even cheaper... the delivery will be quicker too  We've been looking for one for a while and couldn't resist at that price!

Is that 10% floorcase code FLOOR10? Did you call them up for the price match and quote the code? Thanks.

Yes, I called them and said about the 10% off. They had no problem matching the price and adding the offer. The number to call is on this page of their website ao.com/hel…ise I use them a lot and customer service is brilliant

Good price and heat added but my experience of Dyson products in terms of performance and reliability has been very poor. Couldn't buy another one.

They did that for mine too, but didn't want to jinx it by posting about it on here  It's "loaded" now, so hopefully no jinxing

Bear in mind that the extra battery runtime over the V6 is partly because it is less powerful in normal mode (21 Air Watts instead of 28).
Thom to James2505
1 Oct 17#26
That's good to know. I'm pleased with my V6, but it's the bare minimum in terms of power at a normal setting.
Slash to James2505

That's sneaky them. I have a v6 and 28W normal mode is not that that strong. So there may be struggle with v7's 21W normal mode.
tonyfonda to Slash
2 Oct 17#38
Is the wattage in reference to battery life or engine power?
Numbering convention says that the 8, but be more powerful than the 7, 7 than the 6, etc....
Am I missing something?

Trusted Reviews has a detailed description of the V7 in which they
mention that the standard suction power is 21 air watts and therefore lower than the V6 and V8 but they still give it a very good review: trustedreviews.com/rev…mal. Either way I still think that the V6 might be a better buy, I am fairly happy with mine.

Too late as bought- James2505, you have which one ?
James2505 to madmaxpayne
2 Oct 17#47
The DC58 which is now known as the V6 Trigger Pro. I also bought the
extension tube and motorised floor tool for it separately so it's
basically equivalent to the standard V6.
kicksmithy to James2505
2 Oct 17#46
Other reviews tend to make out that regardless of output power the V7 still has more suction power due to a more efficient powered head design, not sure how accurate this is though...

Didn't even know Dyson did a V7 range of cordless. I though the sequel to the V6 range was the V8 range (last year). When did the V7 range come out?
They offered 10% off original price as per other posters.

Worth bearing in mind that the V7 has the easy eject bin system the same as the V8 models. The V6 models have the older design and some people remark that the litter can sometimes get stuck and they have to remove it with their fingers or an implement of sorts. :joy:
