Tesco are selling the DC40 Multi Floor Upright for £179 Using the: "£25 off when you spend £150 or more with eCoupon TDX-TWHJ" This reduces the price of the DC40 to £154.
The only difference between the Multi Floor and Animal vacuum cleaner is the Animal includes a Tangle-free Turbine tool. So this deal might be better for people that do not need the tool or already have it.

Good price but I chopped my Dyson in for a Shark Powered Lift-Away amazing how much more it picks up from the carpet which you can't even see!

If nobody can see it, do you really need a hoover that can hoover it up?

I found this out after buying one last month was surprised how much it pulled up even though the dyson had been used earlier in the day.

Agree fully, the shark duo clean nv800uk is awesome. The UKT is costlier than UK but UK is usually on offer and lower price and you can use 15% code to make it much cheaper than Amazon deal. Plus Third party car kit for £16 will get you small turbine plus flexible nozzle plus free other things for cheaper than the pet head on the UKT. Much better option the third party kit and getting nv800UK model. Posted a deal but usual hukd idiots vote. Very pleased with nice. Much easier to move it and sucks way better than my Dyson animal DC20. The lift away feature is awesome for stair case. My Dyson hand held or even larger Dyson is no match for the shark duo clean nv800uk. But this Dyson deal is a good price and voted hot. Ps: you can variably adjust suction for thicker puke carpets which is great too. See video on desk posted a few weeks ago by me, but as usual the glorious hukd crowd sent it ice cold but am very pleased with my purchase. (Using code on Shark website, got 15% off and way cheaper than Amazon, paid £212 delivered I think)

we're looking at getting a new vacuum cleaner, at the moment we have a dyson, which is on its last legs. after seeing many comments about these "shark vacuums" are they worth it and where do you get the discount codes? sorry to ask so many questions.

the NV800 duo clean is the latest shark model however the previous model nv680 still sells very well and is highly recommended. You can often pick up the nv680 for £150 or less. I got one last month from amazon for £149.99 so just keep an eye out as it's currently £179.99 at the moment but will go on offer at some point. As previously mentioned and a common theme hoovering a house with a shark that was previously done with dyson brings up suprising results our dirt bin was quite full and we thought the carpets were already clean before we used the shark so was surpised.

The newer model has the duo clean head which is powered unlike Dyson heads and also had soft roller brush and hard bristle brush which are both electrically powered and do a great job. See video above in earlier post

The NV680 is more than capable as well as one of sharks most popular models. The 2nd soft brush roller is the only improvement the duo clean has over the NV680. Like I say if money is tight the NV680 is a good choice. Personally think duo clean is expensive at over £200.

we bought the Shark NV350UKC and I was totally amazed at how good it was. I keep recommending the shark brand to everyone. I felt a bit sick at first after hovering the carpet and soo much stuff came up and we hadn't long cleaned it with the dyson, shocking results. but very happy.

Just have a look at the deal I posted (went ice cold) and have a look at the video posted there and device for yourself. Don't buy the cheaper older models of budget permits which although good don't have the near duo clean head which is amazing. It's a direct electrically powered dual head with soft roller brush and hair brush. Amazing. Just watch the video. My two dyson vacuums at home presently are not being used as the shark is amazing in my opinion. I paid full price and didn't get any discounts so it's my opinion after paying full price. Would gladly buy again or gift to family members. The lift away feature is very useful and is present on older models as well. But the duo clean feature is only there on newer models. See this long video if interested
bonus is it had HEPA filter for exhaust gas and better for my child. See HEPA filter demonstrated in video against Dyson. You can find 15% off discount codes for shark website on Google. I got mine for shark nv800uk for 212£ delivered I think after discount. Normally well above 340£ and was lots cheaper than Amazon as well

Is this classed as an ultra lightweight? Bought one from Costco last month & it was so heavy ended up taking it back.

It's 6.6kg. If you want something lighter, this is only 5.5kg:
Not serious, was a joke. Obviously not as hilarious as I thought I guess.....

I wish I needed it. My original Dyson from 10 years ago is still going
strong. Heavy as a bear, but no problems. If mine breaks next week, I'll
be really pissed.

Be aware if you have any long pile carpets, there may be issues with hoovering them i have a DC40 animal and it is impossible to hoover half my house. I have an engineer from dyson coming out to "look" at it.

Exact problem I've had with mine from day one and that's with the brush bar set to the lowest setting. As soon as it hits a deep pile the brush bar shuts off. I dowt their dyson engineer will be able to resolve it as it's a design fault. I only use mine upstairs now as bought a shark NV680 which I find does a better job and has no problem with deep pile I just lower the suction and comes with a 5 year guarantee.
