What are some potentially useful things / folders to back up with this? Bought it because 10p but I'll probably uninstall.

One use is to automatically backup folders that you can't typically move into a Dropbox folder, such as folders containing configuration files. I know someone who uses it to sync their moonreader+ folder across devices so their bookmarks and reading positions are synced. This is one of the few ways to perform that sync automatically. They also use it to autocopy their PC calibre library from Dropbox to their moonreader+ book folder on their phone.

Cheap at 10p, but I can't really see how this would be better for me than using Onedrive or Google drive - I stopped using dropbox when my free 50gb allowance ended.

You dont understand, it allows to sync folders, as opposed to manually copying. This way you can automatically back up apps and data that you would have to copy manually. I agree that not everyone needs it. If all you want to back up are pictures, then you don't need it, there are better ways to do it.

I do understand. If I wanted to automate there are other apps that I could use that can be used for other tasks, but I'm happy to manually copy when and where needed if it means I'm not hamstrung by dropbox's very poor size limit on its free accounts (but your explanation may clear things up for other people looking at this thread).
