I was really frustrated when my ford fiesta (2002) caught fire while driving to Snowdonia and decided to buy a new car. The cheapest new car I buy would lose about £2200 in one year due to depreciation so decided to go for this lease from YES Lease which costs about the same if we take depreciation into account.
There is no initial huge deposit - only £300 documentation fees and 167.99 first month payment making total payment 167.99*12 + 300 = £2258.28
And you also get 10000 miles for the year which is enough for most people
I know lease is not the most popular thing, but I think this helped me and hopefully will help someone else as well, they still have 7 cars left.

I got the C4 Cactus from last year and its 12 months service or once it reaches certain mileage.

Only colour that's no cost seems to be Almond Green.

Is there any requirement / expectation for the hirer to pay for routine servicing during the minimum hire period, and if so: approx what cost? Thanks.

It shouldn't need a service in the first 10k/ 1 year

I had a chat about it and it looks like before returning they expect me to get it serviced at least once if it is reaching the 10k miles mark.

Strange, think it's a 18k 2 year service interval.

Bit wrong that. They can't exp ct you to service it if it's outside manufacturers guidelines. Unless of course the guidelines state sooner of 12 months or 10k miles.

Alright! I will have a chat with them again! You might have helped me save about £200. Their sales persons dont know a lot, but the admin does, so I will call them now

Best thing to do is ring a couple of citroen dealerships and ask to speak to the servicing dept. Tell them the model and engine and ask what the official servicing schedule is. May as well get a price for servicing whilst you're on phone.

Nice. My deal on my C1 is coming to the end. Never gonna be able to get anything for £66 / month (10,000 miles/12months)

If the new car you were looking at is going to lose 2k after a year and this cost over 2k for a year then surely buying is exactly the same or cheaper?

Yes apart from when you hand back the lease you will need to pay the damages bill there and then covering such things as scratches (devon country lanes) whereas if owning you wont realise any loss of value until you sell. Also loss of value likely to be less than lease damage charges.

That is one thing I worry about. If there will be any charges in the end. It is covered by BVRLA which I read about on one of the similar deals and they seem to be quite relaxed with their rules. I will know in one year

0-60 13 secs...is that right? Otherwise I'd be tempted...not looking for something fast...but that seems really slow?

Drove one of these as a rental car when I was on holidays. Great car in terms of tech and thought it look quite quirky too. Its terribly terribly slow though and if thats what is important to you then I wouldn't touch this car. Scared myself a few times trying to nip out of a junction.

You are right. That is very slow. My only other choice was a smart car at this price Lol so i think i had to go with this.

Might be pedantic, but your calcs are wrong. The total cost would be £2,315.88 based on the Flair model you are speaking of. The total cost of £2,258.28 you have shown is for on the Feel model. For the additional cost of £57.60 over the year, you actually get quite a lot more. Savvy.

Not bad, a car you can totally destroy over the duration of a year and use for taking things to the dump etc

Thought it was a C1 at first - but just over £6 a day for a C3 seems pretty good to me.
