If you’re going to Calais to buy booze, don’t book for a Sunday as the big Carrefour is closed then. The free ferry wine is pretty dire - JP Chenet and the like - give it to someone who’s not fussy and buy some French wine in the supermarket where it’ll be at least £3 a bottle cheaper than in Blighty.
