It seemed strange that the earphones just posted were knocking of an additional 20% off for Students. I dug a little deeper and it seems to be double discount on the previous Amazon Warehouse 20% promo...
I just found that and came back to say "nevermind, found it". Thanks for taking the trouble to reply, though! It really is bottom of the barrel stuff left over. Saves me some money I suppose..

From the T&Cs page bud. Items displaying this double discount had a promo section on their pages like this...
Very naff now. But out of interest how did you get that link? Was it from a banner that they're not even bothering to advertise anymore (since the offers are still live but I can't see any mention of it anywhere) or is there a filter somewhere?
"Condition: Used - Very Good - Minor cosmetic imperfection on the top or sides of the item. Minor cosmetic imperfection on the bottom or back of the item."
I would say that description is overstating the tiny tiny scratch on the box that I can make out.
Also got the turntable, box has been opened but the turntable has not been assembled, covering still over needle and sellotaped into place, never been removed. Can't test it for a few days so that will remain to be seen.
Only thing that was a fail was a 5m RCA phono extension cable I bought to resite my subwoofer. I received a 5m 1x phono to 2x phono - hmmm, might keep it for the sake of the £3.94 it was.

Looks like someone has done the crafty returning an old Argos purchase to get a brand new one! Needless to say, I've started the return.

Great post - got some 'amazoning' deals - Samsung A3 for £113, joseph joseph bin for £71 (yes, I spent a crazy amount on a bin - it was all the hukd excitement), a siemens toaster for £31 and other bits and bobs totaling £330, but worth a whole lot more. Let's hope the condition is tip top.

Well some goodies arrived today - a hit and a few misses.
Got a brand new TP LINK 2000Mbps homeplug pack, a score in the box where someone in the warehouse hasn't been careful with the knife opening the larger box they came in.
And 3 Logitech G900 mice - 1 was a dud out the box and the other 2 have serial numbers that don't match the outer box and have clearly been used A LOT! (you can tell by the shiny pads underneath and the amount of accumulated fluff!)
LOL, you win some you lose some - still got my Beats headphones to come, hopefully get some luck with those.
edit: obviously I will be sending the mice back, they are very lax with the descriptions sometimes...

Yes, we're an hour behind most of Europe - but Europe is not the EU. Europe is a geographical area, the EU is a political union, and obviously time zones are primarily about geographical location because they're all to do with longitude, as the Earth rotating on its axis makes the sun rise and set at different times in different places. Europe is large enough to cover three time zones and it just so happens that there are countries from all three time zones in the EU - but the EU has nothing to do with the time zones. Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and Italy are all in the same time zone, even though Denmark, Germany and Italy are in the EU and Norway and Switzerland aren't, simply because they are roughly aligned north to south, have similar longitudes and therefore see the sun rise and set at roughly the same time. Their time zones existed before the EU, and will continue to exist even if the EU collapses, and nobody had to change their time zone to 'EU time' when they joined the EU - it's got nothing to do with it.

Very nearly got an absolute slammer of a deal last night. LG 55E6V OLED TV, like new (damaged packaging) for just under £2000. No discounts were working at checkout, assumed must not be included in the warehouse deals promo. Thought I'd chance my arm, spoke to a bloke on chat and mentioned both 20% discounts including the one for students. He suggested I order it and he would adjust the price afterwards taking off 40% (£1200 total). I couldn't believe my luck! Quickly ordered it but then he realised the screw up and said he couldn't do it and cancelled the order for me. Tried a few other CS reps but none could be convinced saying it's not included. So close!

I'm glad it's over. I ended up spending £300 when I only really needed £100 worth of stuff I bought.
Still bought £300 worth of stuff which retails at a combined £750 when brand new.
Last time I went on a Warehouse spree, Amazon messed up and sent me a couple of the wrong items so I hope they don't mess up this time. Although last time instead of sending me a £2.50 fast charging plug, they sent me a £75 solar panel (because they are so similar).

Okay, so if the EU has a time zone that's an hour ahead of the UK, and the UK is part of the EU, then the time in the UK is one hour ahead of itself? And I suppose Greece is one hour behind itself?
No, the EU is a political and economic union (not a time zone union). The countries that are in the EU are in various time zones. Eg. the UK and Portugal are in the same time zone, France and Germany are in a different time zone, Greece and Bulgaria are in yet another time zone. Some countries that are not members of the EU are also in the same time zones as countries that are. There is no EU time zone.

Thought having the cord after being used to wireless might bother me but it doesn't and it's a fantastic controller, feels great in the hands and that is from someone that loves the regular DS4 design. Been using it pretty solidly over the last few months with zero problems, it's a bargain at £38, you would struggle to get a regular Dual Shock 4 pad for that price and it has a much more premium feel, must buy!

bought warehouse deals before then there was an extra % for students and it was a no-brainer. the prices were cheaper than could get for 2nd hand (if you could even find things 2nd hand easily... i was setting whole house up with Philips Hue.. certainly couldn't have found that 2nd hand normally very easily).
Plus you don't tend to get any warranty with 2nd hand goods bought normally. Amazon still honor their warranty, so there is that. plus if it arrives and it looks like a load of old tosh you can always get them to take it back. everyone moaning about it being 2nd hand just needs to calm down and think a bit more before mouthing off.
that said, I haven't found anything worth getting personally yet. :disappointed:

Sometimes posting "glitches" on a hugely populated website doesn't help anyone. This just kills the glitch and allows the company to recognise the error.
However in this scenario it is inevitable that this will be posted as it easily found. So in this case posting on here makes no difference.

Beats Studio Wireless Over-Ear Headphones - Gloss Black
£118.21
Brand new in the box, seals intact!
Denon DP-200USB Turntable - Silver - £52.19
Only thing that was a fail was a 5m RCA phono extension cable I bought to resite my subwoofer. I received a 5m 1x phono to 2x phono - hmmm, might keep it for the sake of the £3.94 it was.
Faulty on arrival.. FFS :astonished:
This really was the post of the year for me - much appreciated op!
Got some cheap leds and 3x 4tb wd red pro drives
on offer grrrrrrrrrrrrr
But it's a bit naff.
Today's non warehouse price £115. Also got a key vault for a tenner
Thanks for the heads up!
Seems it's now finished at 1am, just managed to buy in time

Despite a few middling reviews it'll be better than the cheapo plastic POS that is currently stored away because it's so bad (ION make or something).

Guess I can always return if I am not happy with how they look when I get them.
