In NEXT (Men's Dept.), there is a near enough copy that smells pretty much identical for £15 in a gift set. It's called 'Urban Elements Stone EDT' and is in a dark tinted, round bottle. I'd give this a good go

No this won’t last as long as Sauvage but for £15 I just give it a few more sprays

Tried this out at next yesterday and then compared with sauvage sample from boots and initially didn't seem the same until they completely dried down and was very very close. My better half couldn't distinguish so will probably by a couple of boxes... Now to find a next voucher.

Any long lasting fragrances you'd recommend?

Absolutely, it all depends on your budget and your intentions. Do you want a casual day at work one or one that would make ladies drop their panties at the slightest whiff. Either way, I'm a connoisseur in the scents scene :unicorn:

Daily fragrance for work I suppose. Current one fades off after a couple of hours

Chanel Bleu (the perfume version) not the EDT. Lasts all day. Or get Boss Night will have you getting interrupted every 5 mins from people asking you what you're wearing.
Report back and tell us all if my connoisseurship is justified :worried:

From everything I've owned over the last few years, the most extreme lasting (as in easily 12 hours of constantly being able to smell it and it still lingers after a shower or stays on fabric for weeks) are Dior Sauvage, Dior Homme Intense and Thierry Mugler A*Men Pure Havane.
Out of like 40 or more fragrances they are the only ones that I've seen that last from early morning to late evening with 3 or 4 sprays and if they get on a scarf or something will stay there until it's washed.
Everything else regardless or price and brand (be it £15 or £50) just vanishes after 45mins to 4hrs.

What are the freebies like? Wondering as the fragrance itself was cheaper in the past, £35 from boots I believe and £39 from Escentual recently.

The travel box had a Sauvage shower gel bottle (20ml) and little EDT spray bottle (10ml I think). Essentially you're getting 70ml of EDT for the price of 60ml

That's why companies normally tailor branding to specific regions.
"So sauvage means savage or wild, can we see any problems keeping the French spelling in the UK?"
"Nah, just keep it the same. I'm just nipping out for a sausage butty. Anyone want anything?"
