Sorry, I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a fork that sully my TV with something that is not only available in HD, but 4K as well!
I'm actually surprised the games companies haven't cottoned onto this ruse - say £20 for a new AAA title in 480p, £30 for 720p, £40 for 1080p and probably £60 for the new console "4K"...

If you don't know, you may want to download the Google Opinion Rewards app for regular free credit. I've built up around £25, even though I'm always chipping away at it buying cheap apps. That's why I thought this was an even better deal. I'd rather have a few movies (even if not viewed) than free credit lying there unused. The free credit is going to be replenished anyway and I think since it is free it would expire if unused after a certain length of time.

Well you're welcome to vote it cold if you want. That is how Hotukdeals works.
However, based on the heat so far it does seem that you're in the minority and more people are voting hot than cold. Maybe they appreciate 16p for a SD movie is quite a deal. I'm sure if someone finds digital HD movies for 50p each it'll get hot as well. I'll definitely buy some!
Personally I collect physical blurays and would never consider purchasing a DVD rather than a Blu-ray disc, but having an instant digital collection for a throw away £4 that I'm not going to miss (ie free Google credit liked a lot of others) is a no-brainer.

Then Makodus posted the link generated from when he clicked the banner. This link automatically redeems a code and at that point the majority of people who did not have the banner were able to activate the offer. Last night the Harry Potter collection had its price reverted back to the full price temporarily, so they could change their minds again.

Not working for me. "Your account isn't eligible for this offer."
The banner was supposed to only appear automatically in select accounts. I was lucky enough to have it appear in my main account, so didn't even know it was supposed to be selected accounts only. I tried logging into 3 other accounts (spare, old and wife's). Only one other one had the banner automatically. I tried using the direct link to the banner in those other 2 non-working accounts and now they also work.
I'm sorry to hear from you that there is still an element of luck in there. The only thin I could suggest is for you to copy and paste that link into an incognito/private tab and trying to login and redeem the offer there. Hopefully it may work that way.

There's a banner that appears if you scroll down for any SD Movie for £3.99, once you redeem that and select the bundle it discounts it to £3.99 (this is dependent on the banner showing in the first place) It's obs a glitch.

Yes, I think it depends on how the collection is listed. If it is listed under box-sets then it won't be in the £3.99 offer, but I noticed they have quite a few "collections" listed under the normal movies categories.

boooo
Possibly one of the best widespread value for money deals to be posted on here? That's one hell of a discount!! Thanks op.
Presumably you can then share library. I assume I wouldn't be able to use my credit I currently have in my Google account to purchase on one of these "family" accounts?
Thanks
NB - Got a Pixel XL
I've heard you can play Google movies on Amazon Fire TV by sideloading the apk, is that still the case?
Your movie collection has instantly increased by 39 movies at only 31p each!
Note to everyone else still considering buying, it is probably a good idea to make your choice asap as I'm sure Google never intended this deal to be valid on the more expensive collections. None of the movies categorised as boxsets are included. They may suddenly decide to re categorise "collections" as boxsets! Last night the Harry Potter collection had its price reverted back to the full price temporarily, so they could change their minds again.
"Your account isn't eligible for this offer."
Sadness.
Doesnt include Batman and Harley Quinn but I bought that the other day, weird 50's style and played for laughs, but worth a watch.
Ahould also say, I didn't see a banner at all but the first time I clicked on the link provided it took me to a landing page saying 'apply offer'.
Thank you OP
I was a bit disappointed that they weren't the live action DC films but they are good quality animations, mostly, and at 14p per film I shouldn't really be complaining

I'm sorry to hear from you that there is still an element of luck in there. The only thin I could suggest is for you to copy and paste that link into an incognito/private tab and trying to login and redeem the offer there. Hopefully it may work that way.
Also star wars. im leaning to hobbit and LOTR, Not really interested in DC animated films
