These are annoying... anything that contains liquid or oil just sweeps over the side.
a 50p one is better...

Thisi is possibly the worst type of can opener on the market as it cuts the can under the lid and allows metal to join the contents and also leaves a very dangerous sharp edge all around the can. The best can opener on the market is the Kuhn Rikon, whist a bit pricy will last for years. It cuts into the rim and leaves no sharp edge and if you don't use all the contents you can place the lid back on the can, of course it does not reseal but is a handy thing to be able to do. I use mine on all cans even ring pull which can be a bit difficult sometimes but there is also a ring pull attachment on it anyway as well as a bottle opener, a bottle top opener and you can use the last attachment to release vacuum in jars to make them easier to open. 5 openers in 1 can't be bad. I've had mine for years.

The Auto Safety Master Opener? Is pricey but does look good, best I can find is £12.74 from Sizzle.co.uk

Why would you need more than 3?
Im guessing you’d buy more than one for spares... not really the type of things you give as a gift is it? Although I actually think I’d like it, better than most the useless gifts I receive at christmas

Ehm must admit I bought a few to give as pressies last time this was on offer....my family and friends just "love" me at Christmas and Birthday time as they never quite know what kind of random present idea I've had....on the plus side they're very unlikely to receive duplicate gifts...lol...

'This might be a duplicate gift You added this from Heather Watt's List, but someone has already bought it from that list.'
I was going to but it for Heather but guess I will just keep it for me!

 well that's a bit odd and more to the point worrying...how are they randomly linking your account to someone else's? More to the point I hope they don't cancel your order based on maximum order quantities being exceeded if they're linking the accounts.
Mind you feel free to have a look through the rest of the list and see if there's anything there you'd like to give Heather as a gift instead

Bought this a couple of years ago. Still works fine. Problem is the tiny slice of the paper label that is sliced off from the top of the can. It then disappears into the contents and adds a nice colourful touch to any meal. If only it would break and I could replace it.
