Cooke & Lewis is a budget (very budget) brand produced for the British based DIY chain B&Q.
...
Like other similar brands, the very bottom of the market on pricing that we have seen, they are firmly in the budget camp if not bargain basement.

applies to appliances. i suspect a lot of mid-range taps are made in china and at least you have a big shop that should honour the five year warranty on this if required

i actually purchased this all went through fine then in the morning got a message saying out of stock and received refund, that's the 3rd time now this has happened with my purchases from b&q, it seems their stock inventories aren't so accurate. win some lose some

Wouldn't touch a Cooke and Lewis tap with a barge pole. Their ceramic washers wear out very fast and end up leaking quickly and badly no matter what the adverts say about them. They're cheap for a reason...

Aye, in the second tap section, which you'll find just after the sinks section, on the right. You can see/have a play with one as part of the taps display too, if you like.

I can confirm this. Had same make and style with the addition of a pull out hose that I was conned into when bought a new kitchen (apparently RRP was £100.00 and it was half price at the time). Ended up leaking all under the cupboard after a professional plumber fitted. The hoses and pull out hose leaked all under the cupboard and now the tap is loose at sink connection can't be tightened up without taking the whole thing apart. Buy something better and enjoy using it.

Quite easy provided the existing tap uses flexi pipes only tricky is removing 10/11mm nut that holds tap to sink

I would not fit a cheap tap as some don't last very long
