This exact deal was posted last month, I really can't see the point of going round the same buoy from the Argos catalogue every month:
Of course I know that, why did you think I did not? :-)

Not sure why you chose to pick a fight over a wooden radio but there's loads of reposts on the site. Don't see anything wrong with it as it's helpful to those that missed out but can see it getting annoying.
If you're interested in karma farming, just save repeating deals and repost them (after a month). :relaxed:

This radio is not DAB+, which you need to pick up certain radio stations.

For 19.99 it doesn't matter if you've no intention of touring around europe with it, or can do without the measly 4 uk stations that currently use +. Should be ok for some time yet.

You can buy a 20 years old television and itll be all right for some time yet. They are cheap i can assure you. Probably a lot cheaper than 19.99

I got one of these Bush deals years ago from Argos & it had DAB+, there was nothing on the box or in the manual to say it had it. In fact there were probably no DAB+ broadcasts available then. It now tunes into Union Jack no problem.
Can anyone who has bought one of these recently confirm if they can receive Union Jack, Mellow Magic, Jazz FM & Fun Kids. This will confirm if it has DAB+.

DAB and DAB+ are usually exactly the same chip set-up, but with different firmware*. I'd give it a few days to see if it gets a DAB+ firmware update.
* Since the UK didnt have DAB+ until recently, the robbing barstewards could restrict a universal DAB+ model to DAB only and sell it at a premium in the UK, while telling you DAB+ wouldnt work with DAB.
I dont have one, but my parents radio updated itself.
BTW, does this come treated for dry rot and woodworm??

I'm still at a loss why no DAB+ on these. I got one 3 years ago that has it, despite no mention on the box or manual . There must be a way of making them compatible. The DAB+ stations are on the same multiplex as the DAB stations Absolute 80s, Planet Rock & Kisstory amongst others. Can anyone check if they have these but no DAB+. Why remove a feature that was there 3 years ago? It doesn't make sense.

I had one of these previously a while ago. Good clarity of sound and quite a bit of bass too. The build quality leaves a little to be desired with a lopsided display and clunky buttons. Also I returned mine cos despite good reception where I live the Bush radio would often break up the signal if I moved around the room. And the back battery door would vibrate at higher volumes. Get a DAB+ model don't waste your money

I've had one in my kitchen for a month now. No problems whatsoever. Receives all the major stations and many, many more. Simply cannot go wrong, a DAB / FM stereo radio for £20! Why say "Don't waste your money"?

just picked one up this morning for myself and had to go back for another for my mum in law after she seen my one in kitchen bargain for £20
Grrrrrrrrrrr

I bought one of these to use in the kitchen - it's receiver sensitivity is terrible. In the same location, a cheap Lidl/Aldi DAB radio(I forget which) works fine. As does a Pure Sonus DAB radio. Now this is in a city centre 2nd floor flat, not out in the sticks somewhere. So, if you don't have really good reception where you are - keep the packaging and be prepared to take it back. Probably not a good idea as a present for someone, unless you are pretty sure that there won't be a reception problem.
