Been a load of zavvi pricing errors lately on Blurays, though this is the first I have seen on 4K Blurays. just this week we had fast and furious 1-8 for £15 and Transformers 1-5, though this tops both those IMHO as 4K blurays are very hard indeed to find for sensible money and boxsets always attract nutty prices. I wonder if they have a disgruntled employee somewhere trying to cost them a small fortune :laughing: Have ordered a few in the hope they might actually let it slip through since it's released soonish but I'd be very pleasantly surprised if they did....

Just to add, I think as others mentioned the mistake they made is putting the price for JUST the latest film on the box set as £24.99 is about right for a new movie on 4K Bluray. I think the same thing has happened with the earlier Fast and Furious 1 - 8 misprice and the Transformers 1 -5.

This does mean that they may appear to honour this but when it comes it might only be the latest film in the respective series and not the complete boxset advertised. Would not let this put you off BUT would strongly recommend taking a screenshot of the product details page, just in case they change or remove it at a later date and then it would only be your word against theirs....

Be prepared for a double-dip somewhere down the line, as most of this collection has a 2K intermediate. It'll look better than the Blu-ray, but not true 4K.

The 4k releases of the original 3 films got pretty poor reviews on their video quality. Hopefully Universal will do a better job and re-release them.

Ordered as well but fully expect either a cancellation (most likely), or, knowing Zavvi, they send the single Bourne 4K which is priced the same.

Zavvi should post these out on weds or Thurs, unless they plan to cancel.

Universal were pretty good at releasing cheap blu ray packages when that was a new format, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case here. Let's be honest, the Bourne films have been available on 4k for a while now, anyone who did want to snap them up at full price would surely have done so by now.

out of curiosity say they only send the latest film surely you haven't received what you order and are due a refund or for them to send correct order. I ordered last night and screenshot it all as I've dealt with Zavvi being funny and trying loopholes in the past.

Hmm will be interesting to see what they do about this. I thought we would see cancellation emails first thing Monday, but now well into Tuesday and nothing. Just checked in my account and it is still at "processing" just as when I placed the order originally.

My other main worry was that the listing was just for the fifth film rather than the boxset but that seems less likely now they have updated the price to £75, I know 4K Bluray are expensive but I don't think £75 for ONE film could be right :smile:

Can't see Zavvi happy to lose so much per item especially since this price stayed live for a LONG time (over a day I believe) so they will no doubt have tonnes of orders in.

Agreed. Last time this happened for me was with the Hobbit Trilogy. I received a cancellation email the next day, but with this one nothing. Still showing as £24.99 and "processing"

Both hmv and Amazon are out of stock too, there must be an issue with the supplier, there's no way the Bourne films are that popular.

Well I chased it up with them as I've had items sit for months and then get cancelled. I seldom use them nowadays but this was too good to refuse.

Their reply was as follows.

Yes, same for me, as it was a pre-order they definitely should have dispatched by now. Suspect they don't want to honour it so will be forever waiting stock. Would be interested to know if those that bought when it briefly went back to £75 before going OOS are getting it, bet they do!

EDIT: just noticed above message about OOS at other retailers too, will give them the benefit of the doubt for now and wait it out for a week or two before getting in touch with them...

I can not find any info regarding the release date being delayed. This has been available in the states since last year. If they are manufactured in the states, I guess with the current weather, could be effecting the shipping lanes.

Mine processing as well and I didn’t want to reach out in case they responded with “whoops! We’ve now cancelled your order”

Only Jason Bourne is true 4K (which is £25 on its own) the other films are 2k upscaled to 4K. Still a bargin either way.

No they dont, and it should of been standard.
No idea why they are using tracked delivery.

I would assume because although purchased for £24.99 the RRP is nearer £80 I think so they don't want any claims against lost in post etc.

Mine is also being delivered today by Royal mail tracked, I would imagine zavvi are using royal mail tracked as the shipment was delayed by a week.

Seeing as some already on the bay for mid £50 including postage i would guess less than £20 profit after fees, still each to their own I suppose.

Mine has been delivered, we'll an empty box has with the packaging. .. The bottom looks like it has been forced open and bent closed... Well off to zavvi support -_-

CEX have a rather cheap price for this.

Whilst it's not the bargain price it was at Zavvi for a new release still over £70 elsewhere £45 is not such a bad price if you missed the offer.

It's funny. When I was dismantling the box ready to put into the recycling bin, I noticed just how flimsy the bottom of the box looked. I understand that they're probably cheap to produce, but not at the cost of things going missing.

Amazon also have a very stupid packaging if you're ordering something flat or small. The sides at either end are usually tucked in. Someone in this house ordered a kids tablet which arrived in one of those packages and I was able to take it out completely without damaging the packaging. If I can do it, anyone can.

I hope you manage to get it resolved. Take pictures and make sure they get copies of them to back up your case.

Word of advice if you're selling your spares to Cex - you'll get double the value taking them out of the outer box and selling them individually. If you take in the boxset you'll get £21 cash /£30 voucher, but as 5 individual items the value is currently £40 cash or £59 in vouchers. Might be a better bet than trying to compete with the deluge of boxsets on ebay
