Just to let you it would be best to add to the deal, that this is a deal of the day item from Amazon, and to include the expiry as part of the deal (04/09).

The problem with some of the cheaper Bosch drills (not sure about this particular model), is that Bosch sometimes use a PLASTIC shim internally, to separate the drill and hammer drill actions. This shim wears out really quickly, and you are left with a drill that only does hammer drilling.
I would be very wary of buying a cheap Bosch again.

There is a few comments about quality and low ratings, notice the Impact models out of 24 ratings all 5 or 4 star, maybe the quality is still there in them models.

Had the same Bosch drill for 10 years, and done some jobs with it that were clearly beyond its capabilities.... works like clockwork still.

I had one about 8 years ago - not sure of the model number, but same price range - it lasted less than 18 months; and there were a lot of other complaints about at that time. Bosch seem to reuse the model numbers for different internals, so a model number is no guarantee of quality; the same goes for their washing machines, year "X" models will get rave reviews, year "Y" will get awful reviews and then year "Z" will get good reviews. I have personal experience of this at work; we had a Bosch dishwasher that lasted 6 years* before it started to become unreliable; the replacement was exactly the same model number, yet didnt last 2 years before developing the exact same faults. *5 wash cycles per day, 5 days per week 50 weeks of the year.
