Lidl are stocking their version of the aperitif Aperol, shelf marked at 7.99 but scanning at 5.99. To say a bottle of Aperol will set you back £15 at pretty much all supermarkets it seems to me a bargain as I have tried it and cannot tell the difference!!

Good deal if it tastes better than the name! They could have named it something that didn't sound like a chemical added to something specifically so that people didn't drink it.

Isn't that what this is, though? :persevere:

Tried making Aperol Spritz with Aldi's version with their prosecco, and have to say it was disappointing after you have had he real thing. Loved Hugo Spritz, great on a hot summer's day. Loved wine bar was selling it this summer at £7.95, but in Italy was drinking it at 3.95E.

If you did want real Aperol, it's currently £12 from Amazon, although you may need to spend over £20 to get free delivery if you aren't on prime. Watch the price at Amazon, it does vary. Not so long ago it was only £10.
