Just to mention that Beko's 28 minute full load daily quick wash and small load 17 minute super short wash timings are not exactly true. I don't know if this is true of other brand washing machines as well but if it is anything like my Beko washing machine's 28 minute full load daily quick wash (which I use 90% of the time) and small load 17 minute super short wash, the timings are not strictly true. This is because those times do not include the time it takes to fill the machine with water at the start of the programme or the time it takes to fill during the rinse stages so you need to add up another 10 minutes to the quick wash time and around 7 minutes to the super short wash times for the true durations.

At least the Prosmart Inverter brushless motor has a 10 year guarantee. I've had two washing machines that failed within 5 years due to burnt out motor brushes caused by the friction they generate during the drum rotation.

It's a Beko. Cheapest components and poorest build quality on the market. The 12 month warranty reflects that. The low headline price is there to suck you in. The real money is made from out of warranty repairs.

If it was an Hotpoint or Indesit I'd agree, However Beko are much more reliable, Some of my friends and relatives have Beko washers and they've been problem free for over 5 years, My mum's bearings are a little loud now but it's about 8 years old, That represents great value imo.
Me personally, I've got a Bosch but I may decide to go for a cheaper washer next time. Imo Beko are probably the best budget brand when it comes to major appliances. Sure cheaper components than more premium brands but that doesn't mean it won't last as long.
If this lasts 5 years and costs £369 and a Bosch cost twice as much and lasts 10 years it represents the same value.
You'd probably be ready to change washers in 5 years anyway.

Maybe, the old made in Turkey one's, but the new one's are made in China which to me means they last for a year then lash it to buy a new one.

Exactly my point. Some people here judging Beko on machines built years ago, rather than current quality. Beko is just a brand name. The entire supply chain has changed since those machines were built, along with their associated quality.
The Which report relates to the longevity of previous machines. It has no relevance to quality of current output. When buying stuff you have to evaluate what you are actually buying. These brands rely on 'quality by association'. Remember when Hotpoint was a trusted brand? They traded for years on the brand loyalty built up during the 70s and 80s. Took ages for people to cotton onto the fact they had completely changed their suppliers and process...and that they were churning out rubbish.
Each to their own though. If a one year warranty works for you then go for it. Speaks volumes to me though.

Which? scores Beko the same for reliability of its washing machines as LG - above Hoover, Indesit and Siemens. Whilst none of the machines make it as a best buy, many are fairly close in score.
There are reviews of the likes of Samsung that criticise the customer service and poor experience when having to make use of the warranty as well.
Sometimes you can never tell with any individual machine - my own anecdote is that I bought an Electra (yes, who?) washing machine dirt cheap as part of Comet's liquidation, as a stopgap, because my Bosch had just packed up after 5 years and it's still going strong, 5 years on.

I changed to a Samsung a while back,10 times better than any Hotpoint or Beko and almost silent even on spin with direct drive( no belt)...brilliant machine....Beko have maybe came on a bit but they used to be s##t....still wouldn't buy one though.

My beko washer never went wrong. My all singing, all dancing, hotpoint washer died spectacularly. Luckily within the warranty period. Typical example of built in obsolescence.

Hoover/Candy are the same.
AEG/Zanuzzi/John Lewis all made by Electrolux.

I bought my folks a 9kg Beko washer for £310 with a discount almost 7 years ago (Jan 2011) & it's running perfectly fine. It's a 7 person household with grandchildren visiting/staying regularly without a single complaint. I refused to get the extra 5 year guarantee because after extensive research I realised it was the most reliable budget brand. It also helped that I had a beko fridge since 2008. So I wouldn't worry about reliability. Get the extra guarantee if you're worried. I regret paying twice as much for my LG direct drive because the quick wash is twice as long lol. Otherwise that's a great washer too. But not for twice the price.

But that is 10% more and the Beko has 22% more capacity. So for every 5th wash you will have to do a 6th. So more electric costs, about £40 over the 5 years.

Ordered - got the 5% at £18.45, code worked fine - did have to pay £3.99 for delivery though.
Also used Quidco so should get a couple of % back if tracked (£7.38)
When you join the membership scheme it doesn't give you the 16 digit number you need to log in for the 5% so you need to give them a call on the Freephone number (0800 023 4708) and they will tell you what that is...

Voted hot as 11kg. All the low capacity ones let you put more clothes and then the ball bearings break.Most people blame the manufacturer but don't factor weight of clothes when loading the machine. They take same electricity as well just ball bearings and other components are heavy duty unlike the low capacity ones .
