I have this keyboard and it's great, good build quality and fairly hefty. The keyboard and mouse also come with braided cables and the keyboard has some nice lighting effects.
It uses black Gateron switches, which if you know anything about mechanical keyboards, are considered by some to be superior to Cherry switches as they are smoother and less scratchy.
Unbelievable value for money!

I managed to order a "like new" one from Amazon Warehouse for £21 just before falling asleep last night. Completly forgot about it until I got the dispatch notice just now, pleasant surprise :-)

What’s the benefit of a mechanical keyboard? I currently game with a soft touch Apple style keyboard

Is this compatible with a Laptop? Basically just want to use the laptop as the hard drive & monitor

I've just taken delivery of two of these (this offer was on late last week too). A decent keyboard, not overly stylish, and the keys do sound / feel a bit 'muted', but so far it's been solid and working fine. The led lighting is ok too. The mouse does look & feel cheap, but works, and as it's included in the package, you can't complain eh? In summary, this is a great value deal, and at this price, I'd buy it again.

Got this at the start of the month for the same price but I'm not that taken with it as I think those rubber surrounds must dampen the keys feel which makes it feel more like a membrane keyboard.

The rubber surround can easily be removed in a 10 minute job.

Looks near identical to the Tecknet Arctrix X866 I got from Amazon about a year ago. Afraid the jury is still out for me; it might be that I'm too conditioned to using a membrane keyboard but I find the depth of key travel a bit disconcerting.

Proof that they are Gateron switches.

Amazon only lists switches as tecknet not gateron? Does it mention type anywhere or have you just checked yourself

I'm reading through the reviews and it does seem to be mechanical black switches, but no confirmation (that I can see) of the brand. Can't imagine Gaterons or Cherry at this price.
Still, a very good price for black mechanical switches since usually all you find are cheap knock-off blues at this price point.

I bought this keyboard and can confirm that the switches I received said Gateron.
