Yes, I'd be interested too as the price is very tempting.
I bought a Hubsan 501C from them last year and it arrived safely and worked fine. Everything I've ever ordered from them has been delivered but Spark would be double the price of the Hubsan so is a risk...
I went for the H507A because it was better value and apparently the camera is slightly better but the H502E has a better battery and a proper controller rather than through a smartphone app.

The Hubsan quadcopter advertised for under 50 quid appears to be an amazing product; very stable, with GPS and return to home that actually works, according to the reviews. The controller even has full telemetry. Just a year ago a far inferior version would have cost 4 times as much. I don't really like GearBest but that is a stinking price for that quad.

I have the I7 version of the Xiaomi notebook and completely happy with it. Be warned though it is the Chinese version of Windows 10 Enterprise which has been turned into English. Most stuff is absolutely fine but occasionally you discover a bit of Chinese for example if you mouseover the sound volume button. Who cares, I just ignore it. Really nice laptop you will not get the quality anywhere near that price in UK.

Has anyone used the X96 mini TV box and do you recommend it?
Most racing drones look like this. Exterior niceties like body panels are pared down to keep the weight down for speed, a massive battery is strapped on for sustained high speed over time, the motors are brushless for merciless use etc.

The Sparks range is the range of your wifi. Wifi unless you buy the controller, in which case its about 2km, however UK law does not specify a range as such, only that you have to keep the model in unaided visual line of sight, The Spark is smaller than a Phantom and I'd guess anything over 200 to 300 M and you won't be able to see it anyway..

Decided to go with a new Phantom 3 SE, 4k video with a 4km range.
Purchased in USD for a better exchange rate on a 0% exchange card (Revolut) and used Quidco at 9%. $516, exchanged to £395, minus Quidco 9%, hopefully I get it to my door in 1 week for £360.
Purchased from Tomtop, who say they will cover import fees. Not sure I believe them but If it comes and they have not covered import fees I'll refuse the delivery and seek a refund from either them or Paypal.
Already spent £1400 on racing drones this summer. This is my last quadcopter purtchase for a long while :innocent:

Bought the mavic pro off tomtop last night. Did the same as you, paid in USD, £885 for the fly more combo and no taxes. Went with TCB at 8.08%, tracked at £97 :fearful: my maths aint good but that's not 8.08%. TCB showing purchase amount £880 GBP. All I needed was to know that the 'US' version was ok to order over the 'EU' version as there was a price difference. Then I see a review by someone from the UK saying that they ordered the US version and got a EU cable included and confirmed that there were no fees to pay. That was me sold. Even if I'm not happy with the drone I could probably get all my money back. Drone only on ebay going for £700+
sola35 to 6ixFoot1
7 Sep 17#35
i seen that review as well, i think the only difference is at the end of the day is the plug connection, even a us plug connection can be sorted out very cheaply with an adapter if you have not already got one lying about the house in the first place, i don't think there is any difference in the amps volts etc what ever version you get but if there was that can be sorted fairly cheaply with a converter off ebay .

The Latest DevelopmentIn July of this year, the UK government announced their plans to introduce a drone registration programme and safety awareness courses for owners of drones heavier than 250 grams.
Who Does This Apply To?This new programme will apply to hobbyists and enthusiasts wanting to fly a drone weighing 250 grams or more. This covers all current DJI drones (including the DJI Spark which weighs in at 300g), but excludes smaller drones such as the Hubsan X4, Q4 and Tiny Whoops.
For commercial operators flying drones for business purposes, there will be no difference. The PFCO license must still be obtained through the Civil Aviation Authority after passing your qualification through an NQE.
gavin1
4 Sep 17#18
No it does not use wifi for control, you are not restricted to wifi range.
No you will not need a licence to fly it as a hobby, however if you are to use it for any commercial gain (i.e. Filming and selling the video or images) then you are classed as a commercial pilot and then you need to sit exams and get a licence (£1k a year I think)
Flying It out of your line of sight which means more than 400ft or so away or above you is also illegal. If you have a camera on the drone you need to be at least 50m away from buildings and 150m from crowded areas.
Other restrictions may apply. Most of Londons Royal Parks are drone free areas as are some national parks and for what should be common sense reasons so are airports, football stadiums, and town centres.

Beginners quads are things like the hubsan x4 or syma x8c, stuff with no GPS failsafe or RTH. Cheap to repair and will take a beating. If you lose GPS lock with this and have no idea how to fly without headless then you're stuffed, and also a large reason why beginner quad flyers who dive straight in to a phantom or typhoon give the hobby a bad name when they have no clue on control.

4 Sep 17#12
do a google search DJI store class this drone as perfect for beginners, DJI PHANTOM 3 STANDARD DRONE FOR BEGINNERS ETC ETC ETC.

jaydeeuk1 to sola35
4 Sep 17#14
You wouldn't buy a self driving tesla as a first car, you'd go for something a bit crap like a Corsa or a Polo. Same applies here. The phantom 3 standard isn't crap at all, its no Typhoon H or Inspire, but its no where near the price. Granted for a bit more you get the far more capable advance, but even that (and the inspire) is prone to drop outs due to way video is on 2.4 and control on 5.8.
Dannyrobbo to jaydeeuk1
4 Sep 17#15
Why wouldn't you buy a tesla as a first car, if you have the money to buy it? A beginner is more likely going to look after this and learn to fly it properly than a cheap drone that's prone to failure and has zero failsafe or safeguards in place for flying near airports.
At this price its the perfect beginner drone

at least that doesn't have mods preaching the almighty at you.
Hallelujah to you to HUKD.
When I aply it..price goes up to 19£:)))
What is this??
The CAA cover airspace useage, they mention nothing on the model flying area of there web site - caa.co.uk/Con…es/
Need an original Xiaomi Mi Band Wristband (strap only), anyone has any code to lower the price?
Who Does This Apply To?This new programme will apply to hobbyists and enthusiasts wanting to fly a drone weighing 250 grams or more. This covers all current DJI drones (including the DJI Spark which weighs in at 300g), but excludes smaller drones such as the Hubsan X4, Q4 and Tiny Whoops.
For commercial operators flying drones for business purposes, there will be no difference. The PFCO license must still be obtained through the Civil Aviation Authority after passing your qualification through an NQE.
Most of Londons Royal Parks are drone free areas as are some national parks and for what should be common sense reasons so are airports, football stadiums, and town centres.
i agree in what your saying in a way, just wondering what the person who said the phantom 3 is a bit crap would say about the ones you have mentioned ?
At this price its the perfect beginner drone
Gearbest coupled with DJI customer service, you might as well set fire to your cash.
