Or £180 for twice the storage (64GB instead of 32GB); its a shame its not easy to double the memory on these. hotukdeals.com/dea…105

Could moan about the processor, ram, storage etc... but for that price a convertible tablet is a very good deal.

I've got the last gen model with 500gb hdd and it's perfect for web browsing etc. Battery life around ten hours.

to get the internet on this pad/laptop. was thinking of getting it for my mum who has no internet at all and not sure if she would like it, so thought i'd get a dongle to plug in to something and pay each month for a while to see if she likes using the internet... its a whole new world for her, so don't want to pay for a contract if she doesn't like it.

I don't believe that that was the person's question?, lol.
I'm assuming they wanted to know as to if the OP's Deal/ASUS Transformer, had it's own independent USB Socket/USB Sockets, in order to be able to take a USB Internet Dongle within it?.
That was the actual question ... :-)

If you are looking for Internet via a sim card, best way is buying a 4g WiFi hotspot, around 20 I think, also can easily tether from any smartphone, if she has one, or an old one you may have laying around

I'd take a look at at one these (or similar) in a store before buying. The screen is tiny if you want to use as a laptop.

Decent price for brand new. You can pick these up on eBay for around 70-80ish if you are happy with 2nd handz
i use one of these for kodi, game streaming, steam, moonlight. PS4, Xbox .
also runs ps2 & Nintendo wii emulator with good performance.

I use a T100(TA) and have to say they're really nippy and fast thanks to the flash memory. Very portable and look great to carry around to meetings etc. Great for general tasks - browsing/Office etc. and battery life is great. Can handle a fair few tabs too despite the limited RAM. But you'll struggle with 32gb storage if you plan to do more than browsing and the odd homework. Even if you use an SD card to hold app data or portable apps - (keeping apps on the SD card will naturally be slower than using the unbuilt flash memory). FYI I use mine to program with Android Studio and due to SDK sizes I use the SD card a lot (despite having the 64gb variant) which results in slower performance for builds and naturally not enough brunt to run emulators.
Very travel friendly, can charge it with a portable charger too.
In my view well worth the price tag

Word of warning I had a hp stream tablet with 32gb and practically broke when trying to simply update windows 10 due to lack of space it now has a blue screen of death! 32gb just isn't enough for windows . Good price though just wish they made a suitable storage space when selling these . Overall laptop hardware design looks great for price
