Nice one, treated myself to the last 3 cases of the fantastic Birra Moretti! 60p a can, nice - half price compared to the bottles in the supermarket (transfer to a glass and hey presto - almost  )

have you used S&S before? For first time customers only :disappointed:

This deserves far more heat. At least it's going up slowly, every time I mention S&S it's like a dirty word around here :fearful:

Are you guaranteed to get the quoted price?
Prices seem to go up and down on Amazon and could go up just before the S&S is due? Are subsequent deliveries also guaranteed to have the same price?

No, you will get the item at the price on the day.

You get the item at the price you see when you click 'add to subscribe and save' for your first order. If the price changes in between the first and second order, you pay the different (higher or lower) price. I tend to just delete things off subscribe and save after I receive them the first order, then repeat when I need them so I always pay the best price

Yes!
No, they will be charged the price at the time.
Wrong.
Not the way I use it ie. no ongoing subscriptions, all one time orders that are always the cheapest prices available

Heat for the effort from me but S&S is expensive “/ i constantly have to juggle the brands of wipes because they change without warning from £6 to £9 sometimes

I have ongoing subscriptions. You get an email reminder each month of what is due to be delivered (which includes details of how much the price has increased/decreased since your last delivery - it's very transparent). I check prices and delete what I don't want. Eg this month I deleted every item on my S&S order and will probably do next month. Vitamins tend to stay the same price and bulk purchase Nakd bars are generally good value.

S&S is ok but keep an eye on it. They inflate the prices randomly for a few days a month and it can be silly. Subscribed to an item that was 1.80 usually around 2.50 in shops. One month they wanted almost 3.50 for it.
Also some products become cheaper in weekly price drops at supermarkets. Ok for convenience, not so much for price in the long run.

Can you not just order with s&s and then cancel soon as its been delivered?
jamesvuong to charliejade
9 Sep 17#22
Yes you can. I believe that's what most people do. You get the 5/15% off and free delivery and sometimes S&S vouchers so some pretty good benefits.

dont know about anyone else but that code (20SNSPRIME) does not work for me at all. I placed my first subscribe and save order last week and had to get amazon to manually add the discount. Anyways, does this discount apply just for the first delivery or is it ongoing? Thanks
ps heat for the effort

Yep just order then cancel when you get first order + 20% code worked for me on water wipes. Unfortunately you have to wait longer to receive items than you would on Prime. So instead of getting it next day I have to wait 6 days, which is a fine cost for the benefit I received. Heat.

I've been getting a bit fed up with subscribe & save. First order arrived great. Now 2 months in a row I get a notification "there has been a delay" - which is actually a cancellation. Another month went by for an order that should arrive tomorrow. Again, "there has been a delay" and so it's now showing next delivery of mid October.
Ok as a 1 off to get a discount but if you're reliant on the order (i.e. nappies/wipes etc) arriving on a regular frequency then you're going to be disappointed...
