Was doing some Monday morning browsing and came across this on Amazon, seems to get good reviews and is a decent price compared to the RRP

Was just about to post this myself. Well recommended. It's my favourite rum so far and at £13.60 is the cheapest I've seen it yet.
Perfect timing too as I'm just reaching the end of the current bottle :grin: Personally I think it's better than Kraken and goes well with Coke too. I usually drink Rum in a mixer with Coke and Kraken IMO doesn't go well with Coke.

I recently ordered 6 bottles of Matusalem 10 year old from an Amazon marketplace trader in Spain called ,Vinus Vinus, including postage it came to about 19 a bottle. Delivery took about a week and the rum was securely packaged , I have recently seen Myers delivered for about £16 and Pampero for about £12 , you do need to buy 6 to offset the postage (about £15 to £20)

old j > red leg > sailor jerry for me. can't really compare havana club as that's not spiced, imo. equally, black magic > kraken, too, for me. i'd still rather have a bottle of ron abuelo 7yr though!
but that's the joy of rum - all comes down to individual tastes in the end, doesn't it?
for me, this is a cheap price for a decent spiced rum that you can have neat, but is cheap enough that mixing doesn't feel like a waste. if i want a neat rum, i'll most likely hunt down something far more expensive anyway.

definitely agree, tried old j for the first time a few months ago, its amazing and now have 4 bottles in the house to go through XD. i was very disappointed with the cherry flavoured one though.
red leg is very nice for anyone contemplating this

Order last month @ £17. It's OK...not setting the world on fire. Tasted a bit artifical I should caveat that by saying we'd just come off a decent bottle of Havana Club so maybe an unfair comparison.

It was a variety of 7 but from Cuba. Never seen it anywhere else and tasted better than the 7 here.

Comparing spice rum to a non spiced rum isn't realistic
fairly decent this one, on par with Kraken, Black pirates decent. Sailor Jerrys is nice neat but not great with coke IMHO
