This would be a good deal if the voucher code worked

It does work, just used it successfully thanks OP. The offer expires 30/9. What you are failing to appreciate is that this offer is for first time buyers only, creating a new credit account. To apply for the credit account you select the upgrade option during checkout, enter your salary and household income and number of dependants, takes less than a minute. Assuming your credit application is successful (instant decision). Then enter the promotional code LLW46, credits your account with £30. Then select Pay in full. Then select Pay by Paypal (or debit card if you prefer). Then balance shows £99.98. Continue through Paypal to complete the payment. You can cancel your credit account within the 14 days cooling off period but I am not sure if this results in the £30 credit becoming payable. You can reduce your credit limit through your account but not below £150.

Been using the Dot this last 2 weeks at my brother's. Not impressed, like the Google Home better, or even the Google Assistant on my phone better than the Dot. Quite a number of songs that I asked the Dot to play, the Dot only played a sample of the song instead of all the song and my brother has a Prime subscription.

Has he got Amazon Unlimited music or just the free Prime music? Reason I ask is unlimited has 40 million songs and Prime has 2 million. Quite a difference....and probably the reason for your disappointment, the Echo/Dot really does need the 4 quid a month unlimited music option.

Ah, thanks for pointing that out. My brother doesn't have the unlimited option.

Thought unlimited was £7.50 for prime users?

It's actually 7.99/mth but there's a 3.99/mth option that allows playback only through the Echo.

Once you link a spotify account and set it as your preference in the app then its great.
Also with a small amount of time invested initially you can get the Dot (and/or Echo) to use the Google home search. You simply modify the voice command.
If you say "Alexa, what is a.....?" and you get an unsatisfactory response, you can say "Alexa, ask Google, what is a....?".
Works really well.
Love the Dot, prefer the Echo but both are great. I have them running heating and lighting too.

Good advice there. I also use Google search that way, and control my Netatmo thermostat and a couple of cheap Yeelights through the Echo. There are many useful skills out there.

Prime gives you access only to a limited library of full songs, about 2 million, which is why it would play only a sample for some. You need to have a separate subscription to Amazon Music Unlimited which is a Spotify Premium equivalent, giving you access to 40 million songs. I use an Echo with Spotify Premium and it plays any song perfectly. Even recognises obscure foreign artiste names spot on, eg. Spanish.

Most Very codes are account specific, other than the new customer ones they put on their homepage.

Hopefully there's a way to take the credit and then pay it off instantly...

Never used Very before so there is no way I could have used the code before, yet it still doesn't work after creating a new account.
Don't bother - it's either account specific or Very are trolling for people to create new accounts.

good deal, unfortunately code invalid for me so won't work for everyone. probably for the best I already have one of each and only want another dot not another echo.
Opening post
Free delivery to collect plus point.
But echo and dot together to get £20 off then use code LLW46 to get further £30 off.
If you have used this code in the past it will not work for this deal as you can only use code once per account.
