Confirmed to be 9377 WiFi and DDR3 RAM, so make sure that you flash the right custom firmwares, if you go down that route, which can be found here:
Would you pick this over fire stick? I've seen android TV(built in Sony TVs) blow away the fire stick.

Does is support Youtube HDR?

In hardware terms yes but Youtube is only rolling out HDR to selected phones right now, so something that will gradually get rolled out on a wider scale.

Yes, things like Mame and Retroarch can be used.
There are some videos on Youtube of people demonstrating the abilities.

Good box and with a few mods and proper firmware it becomes a great box. Hot price as normally around the £50 mark.

New to all this, fancy it for emulation but interested in what else it can do, what mods and firmware?? thanks

There are 3 basic mods for the H96 Pro. Fit with a larger heatsink for cooler running, exposing the two extra USB ports and placing the 2.4Ghz dipole antenna outside the case which dramatically improves WiFi speed and drop outs.
Ours arrived but after three days it won't fire up. It either sits with the blue and red light flashing or the blue light stays on and we can't get it to start up. Can you suggest anything to try?

Hi Modelman
looking at this box, any more details on the mods you did to your box please?

You could try pressing in the reset button for around 3 seconds and see if it reboots. If that doesn't work try again holding in the reset button until the boot menu comes up and do a factory reset. (assuming the box allows you to do this). I've never had the blue and red lights flashing together..Maybe an overheating issue that has damaged the box.If that's the case it will be a replacement unfortunately.

Is the reset button the one you push in with a pin

Correct

Mine arrived a couple of days ago and has been rock solid. If you are having issues, might be worth flashing it again if the reset didn't work.

When I plug mine in now it stays blue and does nothing. Do you have a link to an idiots guide to flashing lol

This should help you. If it doesn't work, then I'd contact Gearbest and inform them that it's faulty. Also try another power supply if you have one. Had a faulty power supply before, which caused weird things to happen.
