I put mine on a small table next to my current board so I didn't have to buy a new board, works fine but not this exact model though.

You could always treat yourself to a new ironing board that holds the steam generator nicely. :relaxed:

Well I bought one yesterday. Unpacked it this morning and disappointed so far. It doesn't fit onto the tray, so can't be transported safely and if still hot when moving it, is a bit of a safety issue. Just feels cheap. So Im currently looking for another one!

No specific board needed what I have found with my iron is that it’s good for thick garments but no good on cotton shirts you are better using the normal iron good luck
