This Acer is miles better. Acer comes with FHD screen and 10 hours battery life vs 1366 x 768 and 5 hours battery life. Also the Acer is more portable at 1.5kg vs 2.1kg.

guys is this worth it for £90 more but with 3 years gaurantee also
Not with a 1366 x 768 TN panel screen it isn't....
The Acer screen isn't exactly amazing - the reviews comment on its low brightness and mediocre colour accuracy (neither of those are idea for watching films) - but it's still likely to be better than the low res TN panel in the Lenovo.
Never easy. I've got one and still mulling a return and buying the acer. Lol. Only as Mrs hates the touchpad on the lenovo.

Want i5 version but gold colour looks awful & no ethernet. Lenovo 510s at Lenovo site has e/net but is white (bleh!), reports of build quality & excessive fan use. Can't seem to find perfect storm

anyone picked this up yet, going tomorrow for mine, anyone find a decent lappy bag ( to use in uni)
I've just picked it up from the Amazon collection point. It seems like a really nice product and the laptop fits perfectly. It's more of a sleeve than a bag though so you'd probably want to use it inside another bag for uni unless you're happy carrying it.

I picked mine up tonight. My first impression is that it's a fantastic device. It feels really fast and responsive and the build quality is very good. Happy to answer any questions anyone has.

2016 model, 2017 model has a black bezel, an extra USB 3.0 port and somehow a worse (less bright) screen. Also, the 2017 model is 0.2kg heavier

Bought this on Sunday, just wanted to share my experience dealing with Argos as a heads up.
Took it home on Sunday afternoon, first thing I noticed after removing from the box was that it has finger print marks on the shell and a very small scratch. Nothing major, hard to see, which was strange as security seal was intact.
I reserved another one, Went back in today and customer services immediately referred me to Acer, saying they do not deal with issues with Acer products, or any other electronics for that matter, but instead ask customers to contact the manufacturer to correctly identify the problem. In the end though, they were fine swapping mine out, as it was only an exchange.
So just wanted to say, Argos are saying if the item does develop a fault, I need to contact Acer. Has anyone had a similar experience?

FYI I've been unable buy either i3 or i5 on a few occasions (just to test stock cos don't like the gold) but both show no stock & unavailable for home delivery. Likely due to being discontinued product.
