Hardly a ridiculous price...

I mean, it totally is a ridiculous price for a 27" 1080p 144Hz TN monitor, when you could get a 27" 1440p 144Hz IPS FreeSync display for the same price (the Acer XF270HUA for instance, which Ebuyer have been selling for £400 on and off). G-Sync is what adds £150 to the price. Of course, you don't have any option except to be gouged or do without adaptive sync as an Nvidia card owner, since they refuse to support open VESA standards (because selling G-Sync modules makes them so much money).

And G-sync is better than Freesync, let's not forget.

Well no, it's not. In any way. It's better than some bad early implementations of VESA adaptive sync, but only the most delusional of Nvidia fanboys still believe that there's any difference between the two when the free standard is implemented properly. The only reason there's a variance at all is because it's down the monitor manufacturer to implement VESA adaptive sync, whereas G-Sync is handled via a universal module. This can lead to bad implementations due to mistakes made by the monitor manufacturer, but that's what reviews are for.

Why is this going hot? Unbelievable...
I have 2 x XB271HU and 1 x XB271HK. Got excited thinking it was one of those models due to the sudden 200 deg heat, only for it to be 1080p?
I have a 34" LG34UC79G ultra wide thats 1080p and it's awesome!

Really undecided on this.. Can't work out if 1080p is to low a resolution for 27" but then I don't want to be fighting with games to run at 1440p unless I have the top spec gfx card. My biggest annoyance on my 23" TN panel is contrast and these VA and ment to really excel at that.

Not sure where the TN bit has come from - it's a VA panel - so not terrible but still as above, not worth the cash.

The price drop is excellent but damn that's expensive for a 1080p monitor. Wouldn't buy personally.

Bah I almost bought this as I thought it was 1440p - my current monitor s 1080p at this size and the PPI is really poor in today's standards.
It's hard to believe they were selling this at 700 quid.

Ridiculous price for 1080p resolution monitor.

Good price, but not sure how they ever got that £700 price with it being a 1080 res panel. I'd pay the extra £80 for the Dell though.

G sync is nice but 1080p at this price is a bit ridiculous
