I wouldn't consider a tv at that price range at that size.

It's cheap. Same reason people buy Renault or Dacia

My problem with these huge TVs is I wouldn't know where to put it in my living room without it totally dominating the whole room or covering at least part of a window when placed in a corner. A friend installed their new 55' TV above the fireplace for that same reason but his wife complained that it gave her a stiff neck because it was not at a comfortable eye level, that it looked too chavvy above the fireplace and that the heat from the fire would shorten the TVs life. He ended up putting the large mirror he'd replaced with the TV back up, selling the TV for two thirds of the cost and getting a 42" TV to fit in the corner. Lesson learnt, fingers burnt.

Reviews from similar models branded Hitatchi, JVC, Finlux and so on should give you some idea as they're all made by the same company (Vestel).
Short version, it's just a generic budget TV. Vestel did mutter something about wanting to make Toshiba their premium brand earlier this year but that'll take a few years if they stick with that commitment.
This is usually £400ish so this deal is around about a £20 saving.

This is indeed a Vestel. It'll be enough for some folk but anybody expecting Toshiba real quality will be disappointed

Somethings you shouldn't do in life, like you know like use your local fastfood own mix of mayo, another is buy a sharp or toshiba tv. Course most of us fail as we do it at least once before we realise a life lesson. Course if you are only interested in size - regardless how flacid the quality - then fill your boots

Hope it's better than the one I just took back to Tesco (after 2 days)
Worse sound quality i ever had, and that includes a Finlux

A soundbar (or external AV solution) is pretty much essential these days, regardless of the TV price. If both devices support ARC it's pretty seamless.

Yes, except it was a present for my mother in law, she has had no room for a soundbar (which would have made the entire set up cost more), and the picture quality was also debatable despite it being backlight.

If this is your budget you won't be disappointed. If you think this a bargain but you are able to spend a bit more I wouldn't purchase this.
I bought one from costco recently, yes it is made by vested. The sound was a shocker got out the sound bar, if your thinking about using the smart feature forget it. Only thing was the picture quality was impressive.

Desperately in need of TV after my 5 year old Technika 40" died on me last week. Is this a good deal. HDUK tells me it has been £335 in a Tesco store before.

I have this exact tv and can definitely highly recommend it. Crystal clear image, sounds not too cracky but i use a sound bar so that doesn't bother me.
