Just had this email to say 50% off everything for 1 day only. Not sure if this is in store too but it's definitely online.

Decathlon! I got some cheap waterproof boots from Decathlon and they did me fine for scrambling along wet riverbeds. Treat Mountain warehouse claims of being waterproof with great caution: grough.co.uk/mag…ing

Rubbish, I went in two stores last week and the prices were the same, this is not a 50%. They have over inflated their prices to give the illusion of a sale. Puts me off shopping with them again!

It's not an extra 50% off. It's just 50% off RRP so the things which were half price last week are already discounted. Not hard to understand really.

Good at first but like Fat Face, the styles are replicated every year just with different colours, and like Sports Direct, the "sales" seem to apply he second new stock comes into the store. You have to wonder if any of the RRP prices have ever been available at that price without being marked down.

The kids 3 in 1 coats that were £19.99 in the shops last week are still the same price with apparently an extra 50% off. Another "sale" that takes the ****

Cold, the coat I've had my eye on is the same price as last week

I think price and product-wise, MW is horse for courses. I outfitted the whole family with skiwear in the sale for less than the asking price for the CHEAPEST ski jacket at my local sport store; quality was not only good enough for several weeks skiing, but good enough that nearly 2 years later I am still walking around in the fleece jacket.
It is certainly popular, in a fairly small ski resort, I spotted numerous others wearing the same outfits, and ditto at local schools - lots wearing the jackets and fleeces.
And waterproofs I bought for my daughter still look like nearly new, after 2 years of use; with still enough size adjustment that she will wear them this winter as well.

50% OFF. CLOSING DOWN SALE. END OF SEASON SALE. There's nothing really worth bothering with most of the time. It makes sick that these companies can blatantly give false information. There are a lot of MFI copycats out there they all need go the same way.

I think even with 50% off it remains overpriced

Can't see anything that seems good value, even in the clearance section.

Hmmm. The £9.99 trainers my boy wanted a few days ago are now £5 with the 50% off everything.
Oh, clicked through. Still £9.99

falsely inflated RRP to create another sale. Typical of mountain warehouse, they've been doing this for years.

Even with 50% off prices are still over priced, there just doing with others are doing....increasing the prices and then applying a hight % off! Sports direct does this all year round.... Rather go with them! Waiting for craghoppers to have another sale / high % code off... Iceland in February and need to stock up!

The first item to come up under walking equipment is the Scafell extreme walking pole at £19.99 reduced from £39.99. BS it was £19.99 when I bought one 3 months ago and it wasn't reduced then, so it is not a 50% sale

I don't necessarily agree that it is low quality but I do agree that it's overpriced. Half price makes it a good deal though for me.
