But ... if this offer costs £49.99, but gives you a £50 M+S voucher, and £5 quidco, then in effect they are paying you £5.01 to get Radio Times delivered to your house for 6 months .... What's not to like ? I think I'm in for this ...

The comments on here just prove people don't read. This actually works out you receive 26 copies of radio times delivered to your door free! Plus £5.01 back.. what's not to like?

what's not to like is £50 paid out to maybe get £5.01 cashback if you're lucky plus a £50 voucher for rather expensive M&S clothes/ food, versus - £1 out for 12 Radio Times mags incl Xmas
nobody uses Radio Times any more except pensioners, except at Xmas

What is a matter with using the £50 M&S gift card to buy their 2 meals for £10 x 5. Seems a pretty good deal to me.

Lots of people read and like the Radio Times, not just pensioners! I agree that if you never shop at M & S and do not read the Radio Times then it is not an offer for you but it will I am sure appeal to a lot of people. who do both....including pensioners as well as non pensioners.

Does the subscription start right away or can I hold it off to give as a gift ?

You can choose a date to start from the drop down box, I did not count them all but at least 12 dates, probably more. The first date showing was 12/09/17 and then weekly dates.

Probably nothing - but try adding code RTP3717 if you're having a problem. The direct link does still appear to be working, though - maybe a cookie issue?

I subscribed via this link. It works fine. You don't seem to get the offer if you do it via Quidco. I'm happy with RT for £49.99 with a £50 M&S voucher. I've marked it in to cancel in March!

Is there any reason for not using the £39.99 option to pay by credit card or paypal?
I remember when the Radio Times only had BBC1 & BBC2 in it and you had to buy TV Times to get ITV & Channel 4

Is it awful that I would have bought this immediately on my memorised credit card details, but if it has to be direct debit straight from bank account... pffft - I'll think about it. It's bad isn't it? :kissing_heart:

Got the first copy today. Not received the gift card or had the direct debit taken off yet. I'm wondering when it's best to cancel the direct debit, I'll need to mark in the diary when the 6 months is up.
