Apologies if already posted or old news, I thought this was amazing value! I haven't noticed it before, though I do buy lidl's 1kg of cooking bacon sometimes. Incidentally, that's priced at £1.02 ATM, which is another cracking bargain.

Thank you for the post. To me I doesn't matter if is at the normal price as it is just a deal. To me it is a deal and not everyone has seen it. Thank you for the post don't let the negativity put you off posting another offer. Heat from me xxx

I bought the Aldi equivalent yesterday for a dish I only needed a bit of cheap ham for. When I opened it I was really surprised how big the bits are. Some are full size slices, thick too. The odd bit of fat here and there but overall I think great for the money. Be fine in sandwiches.

These ham trimmings are absolutely vile. Like eating salted rubber. Aldi's version is much better.

It depends. I regularly buy them, but the last time they were awful.

Agreed, Aldi's is usually really nice, they get different types in, peppered, honey roast, smoked and normal, as long as you look through the packs you can usually get a nice pack. They also do Turkey, Chicken and Beef (although the Beef around here is almost impossible to find)

Cold yet another post with something that's normal price. This is turning from a deal site to something where every other post is standard price

Your right. Any old tat from aldi/lidl shows up now even if better and cheaper is available elsewhere.

Aah right. I've shopped in lidl for a couple of years now, and do you know, never seen it before. Don't know if my local has only just started stocking it, or I've just never noticed it? It was on the easy to Miss lower shelf in the chiller, but I've always bought the cooking bacon, so can't think how I missed it? The pack in the pic was prob the worst one, small pieces, but I took pic quickly to show price. Just Thought it looked a nice buy for butties. Quiche, pasties and pizza.

Ye, wongy, and this time I'm determined to split the pack of bacon into separate bags before I freeze it  my routine of bacon butties, quiche, pasta bake, pizza and carbonara is becoming too well known. I get ' what's for tea?' ' Mum is that the same bacon again?' I lie and say ' no it's nice prosciutto' but they know I'm lying lol.

Yes, they really are trimmings - lots of bits. The Aldi equivalent is often slices or part slices for £1.65 from memory but may be more now. Another good deal is 600g for £3 (or cheaaper if you buy two packs) in the Morrisons budget packs, with many packs containing complete slices with minor imperfections, a bit like wonky veg.
