Important message number 1! - You can only use the code to redeem one of the 6 Ash's Pikachu so choose wisely. I repeat, only ONE. Not one of each but one out of the 6. So if you use the code today then you won't get the others
Important message number 2! - Not sure if the Pokebank and/or trade would work as I've seen mixed message towards this. But if anyone is feeling brave to try then would appreciate some feedback to confirm if it works.
Not only will each Pikachu sport a different hat, but they will also come equipped with a unique set of moves that reflect those that Pikachu would often use in the region that corresponds with the hat it wears.
So the hats are the following.
19th September - 25th September: Original hat
26th September - 2nd October: Hoenn hat (Ruby/Sapphire)
3rd October - 9th October: Sinnoh hat (Diamon/Pearl)
10th October - 16th October: Unover hat (Black/White)
17th October- 23rd October: Kalos hat (X/Y)
24th October- 30th October: Alola hat (Sun/Moon)

Code is = PIKACHU20. This distribution provides Original Cap Pikachu, which has Ash's hat from the Kanto and Johto series of the anime. This Pikachu also comes with the special Pikashunium Z Z-Crystal which turns the move Thunderbolt into the Z-Move 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt

Its one per save game, however you own both Sun and Moon you could redeem the code on one game, trade it over to the other, then re-start the game and repeat the process again next week to get the next Pikachu and so on the week after.
You could do it with one copy of the game and save the Pikachu to Pokebank, however i'm not one for erasing my saves personally.
Another option is if you have hacked your 3DS for homebrew then you can backup your save, get the Pikachu, trade it to another game or move it to Pokebank, then restore your save so you can get the next Pikachu the following week, and so on.
