I have previously been a paying Audible member, but this deal seems to work anyway.

You come across as a pompous idiot. Why would someone being unwilling to sign up to Audible make them "uneducated"? Why even associate the two?

Can you recommend some interesting areas to learn? I mostly listen to fiction, but would love to find some entertaining non fiction as I have previously struggled to stay engaged without a plot driving my mind forward.

Great work! I'm surprised my comment hasn't got more likes because it's golden. Literally changes your life. The things I know about many useful areas (personal finance, investing, health and fitness, business) are invaluable. Listen to 10 books in an area and you know more than 90% of people in society about that area. Do that with 10-15 topics and you'll be an extremely knowledgeable/intelligent person.

26 Sep 17#78
Ok, not sure I can get the three months free, the link is only offering me 30 days. My parents are Prime members and I get Prime delivery through my own account which is linked. Guess that means I'm not eligible as I'm not a fully fledged Prime member
Edit- Went on chat and spoke to them, and they gave me a 90 day trial. Nice lady called Jennifer even gave me a book recommendation :nerd:

Never tried Audible so might give them a go. 95% of physical books I start reading never get finished, but if I can listen on my walk to work then I might actually finish a few!

If you think that the price of education is expensive, you should consider the price of being uneducated. Get the £109.99 yearly membership - it's far cheaper per book.

26 Sep 17#75
Audible is a great service. If you're serious about it i'd recommend the £109.99 yearly membership for (I think) 23 books. I usually get this twice per year and end up listening to around 50 books per year. I've been doing this for years and if you're listening to quality useful, factual books it'll really positively benefit your life, relationships and career. I listen to the books when commuting, working out and cooking so no extra time is needed! This allows me to consume more books than probably 98% of people in society - highly recommended!

It depends. Normally around £2.50-£4.00. You can buy bundles but watch out. You can buy credits or accounts with credits. The accounts with credits are much cheaper but it's a separate account. I buy just credits so they're all on my one account.
The market changes weekly so it's always good to look.

Someone mentioned that via chat you can ask for the offer to be applied even if you've already used a trial.
I spoke to someone and mentioned I hadn't used audible since early 2016. I had the offer applied so it definitely is worth a try.
If it helps anyone, I said that I wanted to use it however with the existing subscription cost it made it difficult to subscribe. 3 month trial with the intention to remain a subscriber would help.
After you cancel, you can still listen either on the app or on Alexa

Do you get to keep the audiobooks to listen to or do you have to finish them in the 3 months? I'm part of the generation where 3 books will probably last me until I die at the current rate of reading....

It offered me a 30 day trial. I have used the free months promotion more than once. Also I know I have spent money on Auduble as well though I can't remember if it was a subscription or book purchase. I didn't checkout because I am half hoping that I can get three months later, but I still think Audible is worth it. I'm just on a budget at the moment

£7.99 a month isn't bad either considering you get 1 book a month.
Also, pretty much every time I go to cancel they give you a free credit, half price subscription or something of the like. I go to cancel every few weeks and they've always given me something.
It has definitely made my daily commute more enjoyable.

You can get an extra credit on top of the 3 months worth as well. At some point in month 1 or 2 select cancel, choose its too expensive as the reasson and they will give you a free credit to stay. Then cancel for real at end of month 3

I signed up for the 3 month trial - a couple of ideas for you to max the value of the trial - I bagged the following crime and horror audiobooks :
The Extinction Cycle Boxed Sets 1-3 £28.25 and 4-6 £38.99 (Zombie apocalypse - very good if you like that stuff) Runs to around 58 hours.

I listened to all of the Harry potters which was great. Only issue - as soon as you cancel membership you can't access the Ines you have downloaded - even though you have paid for them. That's a downside I see of audible service. But I like the app and listening to books i think is a great use of time in the traffic.

There are a handful of voice commands that you can give Alexa when it comes to listening to your audiobooks from Audible. Here are some variations you can use to begin listening to your audiobooks. Keep in mind that you will need to own or be renting the audiobook on Audible in order to listen to it.
“Alexa, play the book [title].”
“Alexa, play the Audiobook [title].”
“Alexa, play [title] from Audible.”
You can also control your audiobook using your voice by pausing, rewinding, etc.
“Alexa, pause.”
“Alexa, resume.”
“Alexa, go back.” (This will rewind the audiobook by one paragraph.)
“Alexa, go forward.” (This will fast forward the audiobook by one paragraph.)
Alexa even recognizes individual chapters in audiobooks, so you can tell Alexa to go to a different chapter or fast forward to the next chapter.
“Alexa, next chapter.”
“Alexa, previous chapter.”
“Alexa, go to chapter number (#).”
“Alexa, go to last chapter.”
