Based on Moneysavingexpert EE braodband is one of the best deals out there - the icing on the cake is TCB is offering £149 cashback today.
Speed: Up to 17Mb
Download limit: Unlimited
Contract length: 18 months
Deal requires line rental? Yes
Inclusive calls? Weekend
If you pay upfront for the line rental, £299 for 18 months, they charge you £7 for router delivery and the total upfront cost is £306. That effectively is £8.72 per month for 18 months. Broadband is "free" for the first 18 months and £10/month after; so be prepared to search for a better deal after 18 months.
MSE says one gets a £100 prepaid MasterCard after 2 months, which if true would be additional cost savings - that is effectively £3.16/month.

Ordered the EE deal. Currently in month 11 of a 12 month contract with BT. Just had an email from BT telling me there will be a £55 equipment charge for leaving early. I thought you were free to move in the last month without penalty, and, anyway, it'll be paid up, so how can they justify this? Also, I spoke to them a few days ago about cancelling and what would happen if I got another provider to take over the line...and they said the only charge would be the remaining monthly charge to the end of the contract.

EE cs told me they would refund up to £50 when you get billed for early cancellation from another provider

Good point, I did notice that. I'd still rather BT didn't try making silly charges like this and I think I'll fight it...might cost me some nerves of course!

Thinking about it, BT own EE - so I suppose there's little point fighting the charge! All stays with them anyway!

EE CS confirmed £100 M&S card is only via external website so it's either £149 cashback with TBC or £100 M&S card with MSE - no brainer Got £149 pending - fingers crossed, plus with EE broadband got an extra 5GB 4G on my phone contract so have downgraded that one for a £5 monthly saving on top!

I see £21 per month So thats 21x18=378. 378+£7 router=385. With £149 cash back, 385-149=236. 236 total cost for 18 months. 236/18=13.11 per month. What am i missing?

Where do you see this? If you do not select the upfront £299 for line rental it is £18.50/month for line rental.
Do forget you have to pay £14 PM for TV extra to get £149.00 TCB cash back guys,

I hope not. It says "including any extras", I read that as you can take the broadband, and, optionally, other extras. If mandatory it should say "when taken with any extras".

The point I am making is you do not get Cashback, if you don't opt for TV, if still not clear: you don't get Cashback if you choose standard broadband only. Hope it's more clear now

You're totally clear, the point I'm making is that the wording in TCB isn't! There'll be trouble if I don't get the cashback!

Is that just your interpretation of it? Where are the T&Cs that confirm that?

I think for this MSE deal you have to go through the link on the MSE website. To get the TCB you need to click through the link in the TCB site. So it will be unusual for you to be able to get both deals as you'll only register through one of the links.. That's what I'm thinking but I could be wrong..

Been trying to sign up for a couple of weeks, keep getting "We are unable to validate the email address that you have provided. The correct contact details are required to send key information." . Tried various addresses, anyone else getting this? Tried the live support but that was (brain) dead.
Edit: Well, this is just astonishing, live chat asked if I have other emails addresses, said I'd tried about five others, they suggested a gmail address, which I do have, so tried that, and it worked. Unbelievable. EE Broadband is only available to selected web users.

My connection was in East Midlands and struggled to get 4mbps - when I complained they blamed copper wires to my house - I cancelled and subscribed to BT and miraculously am now getting 20mbps through the same copper wires to my house.
