You don't really need an invite, you can simply buy it form Groupon and then add the voucher to the starbucks app

Click my groupon
View voucher
Top left below security code, you must copy and paste the link looks like http://gr. etc

You voucher will now appear in your browser. Just add it to your starbuck app.

to add voucher to app:

click pay on app
then manage
then at the bottom, add starbucks card.

you can also consolidate all previous cards into one card.

I've had my Groupon account (registered a year ago) and got an email. Just register and keep checking your inbox and hopefully you'll be given a link to the site for the voucher.

Didn’t work for me. I had the email invite. First time I tried to buy it said I wasn’t invited. Second time it said I had already purchased it even though I hadn’t. Tried chat support which was useless and gave up.

It let me purchase it via the invite but I pressed back button to untick the promotional email thing and now it doesn't let me continue the checkout :disappointed:
It probably thinks I'm trying to purchase a 2nd one...

I paid by PayPal and received a message saying that I could not buy due to invitation only
However It appeared in my purchases and I topped up in my Starbucks app fine with the voucher

Third voucher bought. I used variants of my email address when creating a few Groupon accounts, gmail and googlemail and I got the invite three times across 'two' email addresses. Hehe :thumbsup:
