Where did you find out about this? As i cant find a link from HSBC site to this offer and dont really want to put card details into a site i havent heard of before or can see linked from HSBC.

Not sure where the OP got from, but was also referenced on the First Direct thread the other day.
Site is legit (although a bit amateurish looking), is run by Visa who then partner with the banks to offer to their customers. Nationwide have been doing it for a while and looks like First Direct and HSBC have just launched. Some good intro offers.
Heat added OP.

Nothing comes up on HSBC website when you search 'Visa rewards.'

So even after it being advertised on moneysavingexpert. Which check these types of things. Also the mods had to check my post before posting on here. I guess you're best to wait for the email from HSBC with this in? And hopefully then you'll believe us.

Yeah in fairness I didn't follow your link before commenting, it looks legit unless MSE have been complete mugs. I'm not a HSBC customer but I have worked with fraud for one of the major banks and I know we wouldn't have approved a product to be launched in this way. It doesn't exactly teach customers to be careful with their banking details.

Its not a HSBC or First Direct offer it is a visa offer

It's just your card number no other details ... there is usually more than that displayed on a till receipt!
MrWani to speric07
7 Sep 17#34
Till receipts show only the last 4 digits of a card. This doesn't appear to be fraud but I wouldn't advise people that giving full card numbers to untrusted websites is risk free.
MrMoneySavingExpert to MrWani
7 Sep 17#37
If you're still worried. Feel free to have a look at the other posters on the forum who've been successful in getting their free pennies. Alternatively head into your local bank and ask.

No I've not stated I'm worried. I was pointing out the error around till receipts containing full card numbers and the suggestion that people should be happy to give out card numbers to untrusted websites.

Showing as trusted on google! Where has the untrusted part come from?
If you are worried don't use it! The things that this deal website grabs via cookies is more scary than giving a credit card number to the VISA offers website. If you use the app, heaven knows what they can grab with the lax permissions they have.

I use this as well, after being given an introduction email the other week. Some decent cashback offers on there but if you don't have an HSBC account then i wouldn't lose sleep having to use the likes of Quidco or Topcashback infact they do better offers in my opinion. The tracking rate is better with HSBC imo and used it already with 7% off Just Eat (every little helps) and automatically redeemed the cashback to my account in 3 days  As other have mentioned, if you aren't aware of it, it is quite tricky to find, here is the link though (for HSBC customers at least) hsbcuk.visaoffers.eu/

Edit: When I try to re-register, it says that my FD VISA number is invalid. Something not right somewhere . . .

Don't worry about putting your bank card details in. All it asks for is your card number. You don't have to disclose start date, end date, issue number, name as shown on card or security number from the reverse.

Thanks op - got cashback confirmation email for the £10 off £40 spend at Lidl.
However, NO THANKS. Normal weekly Lidl shop is about £40. We had a £5 off £30 spend voucher through a booklet so effectively £15 off. Told the wife about it and she went flaming bananas spending £85. I asked if she'd bought the entire shop. :unamused:

Hmm. I think I've approached this in the wrong way. I registered my FD credit and debit cards on the same rewards account/email address, and then bought from Nike online withb each card. But, I've had only one cashback, presumably because it's one cashback per reward account rather than per card? Should have registered each card under a separate email address in order to get a separate cashback on each card. YMMV?
