There's an ocean of a difference in the quality of the photos between my Pixel XL and RN4 (as you would expect looking at the relative prices)... I only said if you're after a really good camera then RN4 won't cut it..

Its a phone it takes perfectly fine photos if you actually want professional quality buy a real camera with a optical zoom. I do actually find it funny watching people waving their phones and even more stupid waving massive tablets about to take images and video, that kind of rubbish is fine for putting on social media but if you really care about photography you need something with proper lense.

As mchu6am4 also confirms, there's a noticeable difference in quality between phone cameras. If you've not experienced this before, then it's something exciting to look forward to when you own/use a better phone camera :thumbsup:

Nothing to do with professional quality, so your comments about using a 'proper' camera are irrelevant here.

Not irrelevant if you've never used a decent camera with a quality lense you don't know what good quality images are. In comparison all phones are simply acceptable for taking images\video on the fly if no proper equipment is available.

This is a phone thread/deal discussing phone cameras, so let's stick to this.

The fact is different phones have varying camera/photo qualities, & if you never experienced this then it seems you've never owned a phone with a very good to excellent camera. Nothing wrong with this, so need to defend yourself, or bring in unrelated pro cameras into the debate.

Which brings us back to your original comment, "Got one and theres nothing wrong with the camera", which is ok in isolation. But is simply not true when compared to better phone cameras, which mchu6am was trying to convey. I hope you got the point now.

And perhaps you should get the point theres nothing wrong with it, so unless you are blowing up the images to a large size for printing i seriously doubt anyone would notice, obviously you can spend £50+ more but if your willing to do that just for the camera then just buy a camera

You'd usually get away with it on cheap phones. Much less likely at this price point. What would it be ? an extra £70. And there's then the warranty and returns issue. I work to risking up to £100 from the far east, but not more.

Its fantastic came with the latest official global rom and google installed. I have been using it know for 12 days no problems whatsoever.If i had anything to complain about its the silky smooth glass back, phone does slide very easily but you do get a soft gel back cover in box, i have bought a ipaki case for it now. No band 20 but that doesn't bother me even though i use a tesco sim its using hspa+ when i am browsing the internet and its very fast loading pages. I am not a expert but camera is fantastic to me battery lasts well over a day

Yes the play store and other google services were installed and worked out of the box just had to log in my google account it installed all my phone numbers into contacts

I can confirm that TomTop is 100% legit. I have ordered from them a few times in the past and never had any issues. My orders were always dispatched promptly with quite quick delivery. Great news that you received a refund. Worth noting for others, warranty issues will often be problematic, if you can't cope with this best pay more for a UK supplied phone.

Was tempted after a short stint with Redmi Note 4... The camera was mediocre on RN4 so got rid of it to buy Pixel XL which is brilliant but there's something trying to draw me back to Xiaomi! I've probably got a better phone in the pixel xl not to mention latest software and android o coming soon so something is also holding me back!
