Just a head up, you don't have to let your Gold run out to get this, as long as you don't renew with a 12 months it seems to offer it to you just as it runs out.
I was due to run out last month, but during Prime Day I bough the 3 months XBL with £10 credit, and then a couple weeks later this deal popped up on my dash board. :grin:

My 12 month subscription just ran out last week and the only offer it's giving me is £2 for a one off month. The 12 month subscription is still priced at £39.99 for me.

I got a month for £2, all the other options were full price

Go on Microsoft chat, complain about something non account specific but worthy of complaint, they'll give you a code for a free month. I do this every 3 months. I basically get 3 months free a year.

I got this yesterday, clicking on the Xbox gold tab it was £39.99 but there was another tab on the left menu saying 'dont let gold expire' and there it was £26.50. showed at 1month renewal with a menu arrow, changed month to 12 month and it was £26.50 (I actually got charged £26.66, £22.22 + £4.44 tax)

Cold as its account specific. Complain on chat and they can't give you the offer - it's dictated by the "random" server who is offered it.

I tried to use this service direct from the dashboard on Xbox one yesterday. About an hour later after a long "chat" with Microsoft I succeeded. My issue was that I had paid with a prepaid card last year and due to that I couldn't use this offer until my service expired. It didn't tell me that though it just said my payment methods were refused and I needed to enter a new payment method. It was about 4 payment methods later that I had had enough and went online. Then after explaining the problem several times I managed to get my current service cancelled by MS and I was then able to extend using the £26.50. They send me a code for the month I had left on the old one - which presumably puts me in the same position should I ever want to use a dashboard deal again!!

This was sufficiently stressful to put me off in the future and hopefully if you are in the same boat you now have some idea about what's happening and this might help :thinking:

My Xbox live expired yesterday and i had seen the offer on the dash the day before, but only got it after mine had expired.
Cheapest price i could find at the time, so its a good deal if you get the offier.
