Good price for what it is. If you actually want good pizza at home get a Roccbox, it's incredible.

Didn't say it was a cheap deal that everyone should buy.
Just saying, if you're interested in making good pizza it's worth looking it. It's obviously not aimed at you

Been toying with the idea of a pizza oven myself. Never seen these before. What temp will it achieve, and how long to get to say 450 with the gas burner. What size pizza roughly will this accommodate? It looks a really convenient option to an heavy solid pizza oven.

It really is fantastic. Realistically need to preheat for 30-40 mins for the stone to be fully saturated at 450-500c. I cook 10" but you could do 12". Best way to achieve true Neapolitan pizza at home. Check out my insta for some pics @marma.luke or a mate's pizza business who uses them @peddlingpizzas

Buy yourself extra special frozen wood fired pizzas from asda for £1.50 and save yourself £28.49, time and hardwork...

Save yourself even more time and money and just eat rice for the rest of your life.

I'm fairly sure that brown rice and a frozen pizza take the same amount of time to cook. I think the pizza probably takes less time when you factor in boiling the kettle.

There's not many pleasures in life like being able to make a traditional Neopolitan Margherita correctly. It may well take a few hours to make the dough but I'd rather go to the trouble than insult my taste buds with pizza from the frozen section, vile.

If you've a BBQ with pull over lid (gas or charcoal) just buy one of these and save yourself a few quid. Let it heat up (the stone will go black but don't worry) throw a bit of flour on it and put your pizza on. Bin using mine for years and would won't taste a finer a pizza
tek-monkey to shutsy2003
23 Aug 17#20
Or just chuck the stone in the oven, use an asda pizza and its still way tastier than dominos at 1/6 of the price!
bilo999 to tek-monkey
23 Aug 17#21
Not quite the same, but a pizza stone does help - pizza ovens should reach a temp of between 400 to 500, best you will get from a standard oven is about 280
dannyblackbeard to tek-monkey
24 Aug 17#27
Tastier? I don't think I've eaten a pizza where every topping is as bland as the next when it comes to Asda pizza. Can't stand them. It forced me into making my own because I find most places who sell or make their own haven't got a clue when it comes to making Pizza.
tek-monkey to dannyblackbeard
24 Aug 17#28
Yup, in my opinion much tastier than any delivery company or store bought pizza in my town. Maybe you choose particularly bland toppings?
dannyblackbeard to tek-monkey
24 Aug 17#44
You're joking right? Lol
Is the cheese even real on Asda pizzas? The doughs processed rubbish. Toppings flavourless. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure most of them are covered in cheap, flavourless; mild cheddar cheese.
tek-monkey to dannyblackbeard
24 Aug 17#47
Nope, straight up. Which takeaway / store purchased pizza do you rate higher than asda create your own? And what toppings do you choose and how much are they?

I actually agree on Domino's, I don't like them either. Never understood the fuss. I don't like any of them to be fair, if I was pushed to make a decision I'd go with Papa John's but they've gone downhill in recent years. That goes for super market pizza too. It's why I generally make my own. That's the difference straight away, in the fresh base, not processed. Then fresh ingredients to go on top. A real traditional pizza shouldn't be over loaded anyway. Less is more when it comes to some dishes and I believe pizza is definitely one of those. I'm happy to eat a traditional margherita at home. That's more than enough. Maybe there's a difference in using the stone. I'll have to give it a go. I use a pizza tray. It's enough for my oven.

Lol, I'm just over 10 stone mate, a bit of exercise and you can eat pretty much whatever you want as long as you aren't stupid about it. And if you try reading the comment made you'll see I was comparing them to Dominos.
EDIT: Hmm, I do mean the fresh though not the frozen. Always get them made to order.

Brilliant, another thread that turn into a cringe worthy, cock-waving competition.
Its an entry level item. Its cheap. Will it perform as well as something many times its price? No, probably not. Is the product from this item as good as a convenience alternative?.. Perhaps. Can person A make it better than person B?... Who cares. Is it value for money?.. If you're going to use it and enjoy it then yes. If not then its a waste of money.
You could copy and paste that into a good percentage of HUKDeals and it would still be relevant.
It would be equally as dull as the bickering but at least it would be less cluttered.

Great price if you can find one. I paid £100 for a similar one from Aldi  Used it maybe 10 times this summer. Pizzas are delicious once you learn not to put flour on the stone which then burns.
