I was referring to the Aldi/Lidl bacon pack in the above post. Your post is of no interest to me as I am unable to accurately make a purchasing decision based on the information you have provided.
I will enjoy my evening (in about 5/6 hours - for the time being I shall enjoy my afternoon, and hope you do the same)
Without going into the maths of this.. the 89% pork may well be 100% pure British pork, as 360 has eluded to. You cannot rely on listed ingredient but instread have to trust what they say and use common sense from time to time.
I got coated chicken strips the other day from Aldi which were made from 100% pure fresh British chicken. Yet the ingredients said ; chicken beast 76%. Goes to show..
Anyway, just thought I'd give you all a quick maths tutorial..

I see you have not answered the questions in my first comment.
Also your grasp of English is as poor as your facts when posting a deal Eluded
1.
escape from or avoid (a danger, enemy, or pursuer), typically in a skilful or cunning way.
"he tried to elude the security men by sneaking through a back door"
synonyms:evade, avoid, get away from, dodge, flee, escape (from), run (away) from; More
2.
(of an achievement or something desired) fail to be attained by (someone).
"sleep still eluded her"

Apologies Mr Trebor, but this was due to auto correct and of no fault of my own.
The word I wanted to use was 'alluded'
With best wishes and kind regards. And thanks for your comments.
Just to clear this is the same walls that make ice cream?

Originally the same company, but Unilever sold the meat business to Kerry Foods about 20 years ago.

Yes it is, but obviously not on the same conveyer belt as the ice lollies... Not sure I'd like the taste of ham ice cream..!

Hot deal terrible fabrication of a deals description. Smoked for years? From my experience I think walls actually use artificial smoke flavouring rather than cold smoking the meat. I may be wrong but either way unless you have bacon confused with whisky it's not been near a barrel for smoking.

A lot of what I've written is either from anecdotal evidence or is written on the packs in small print.
Occasionally, it's based on speculation.
But this deal is gaining a lot of heat and is from a good company.
Bacon rashers are actually very versatile. I use them in sandwiches and for pizza toppings. I have also put them into stews.
Anyway, I hope you will make good use of the deal.
As it's fresh meat, it is suitable for home freezing.
With kindest regards.

Walls a good company, I suppose if you are comparing them to the makers of Richmond sausages you may be right! No way organic, free range, just pig. It's not fresh meat, it's cured. Btw.youve not got my coat have you?
Ps. I'd love to see the small print you seem to imagine.

I don't know where you're coat is. But looking at the heat of this deal, you certainly won't be needing it.

Then why don't you leave and take your untruths with you, cos as far as I am concerned you are just as bad as a troll. I am hardly trolling, I am just picking up on your fabricated/ untrue descriptions.

Or the reality that the deal itself isn't bad just the write up.
Took an age to reply as I was trying to make a hog roast with 6 rashers of barrel smoked back bacon. Damn near impossible.

Well it clearly says 100% pure British bacon - how does a consumer interpret this?
360finder to firstofficer
27 Aug 17#26
By checking the ingredients. If there is more than one listed then it cannot be 100% anything. Also doesn't specify it's British on Tesco site. Just your post.
firstofficer to 360finder
27 Aug 17#28
But it can be made with 100% fresh *whatever*, meaning that it would have to be pure fresh meat they use, not some reformed junk..
360finder to firstofficer
27 Aug 17#30
Yes. But the end product is not pure.
I can use 100% fresh eggs to make a cake. Still a cake at the end of the 'process' no longer a pure egg as it has been changed through additional ingredients being added and the basic structure changed.
Please note that this is an exclusive Tesco offer and is not available at Ocado. Some items are specifically made for certain retailers and this may well be the case for these pork pies..
Thanks for your valuable input regardless.

It would seem that every time you post a deal they always seem to full of (to be kind) untruths/fabrications. Why do you do it? Just post the deals without untrue embellishments. That's it, just looking for my coat!
