Seems it's live already. Shame promotion for weekend travel is only valid until 5th November.
Travel is from 11 September to 20 December 2017 (weekends are only available up to 5 November) inclusive, excluding 21-29 October 2017 (inclusive).

Not a lot of these. Some prices are higher than usual and some days have nothing whatsoever. Definitely requires a lot of flexibility.
There's a few on say Sat 30th Sep from Doncaster-Kings Cross where standard is £30.50 and first £24. Others have £7 standard, £57 first. 25 mins later and £7 / £24.
Or Sat 7th Oct, 8:11am train Don-KX: £30.50 standard, £19.50 first.

Why is it that every time Virgin Trains East Coast have a sale, some thicko posts complaning about the cost of a journey that is nothing to do with Virgin Trains East Coast?

Thank you! Got £8 each way for Connection to Leeds and onward to KGX for first weekend in November. I'd already bought my tickets up to end of October last week before I found out about the sale. Rest of November and December are weekdays only (as stated in in a post above) so it's the usual book early or gamble on a 'hotcakes' sale happening the Wednesday before.

Bargains for me just now.
I booked Peterborough to Newcastle return for £27 in Sept, and first class return for November for £40. It;s a huge help to me, living in Norwich, with elderly parents in Newcastle - this part of the journey often costs me £80 or so - so 2 journeys for the price of 1 for me. Plus in first I get my lunch and a few vats of wine thrown in. Perfect!

This is not a sale, tickets from Manchester to Euston in October are £25 each one way.

That's "Virgin Trains", this is "Virgin Trains East Coast". Confusing, but two completely different companies (VTEC is mostly owned by Stagecoach, with Virgin as a minor partner).

Just booked two First Class tickets to Newcastle for £67, not bad at all. One way mind, so coming back via National Express for £5 each, LOL.

Protip about Virgin Trains - keep refreshing website and you'll get better deal. If it won't help - delete browser's cache. Got myself other day return ticket London-Liverpool for 60£ same day of journey lol

Don't try to book over the phone! After having a nightmare hour of the website emptying my basket at the payment page, I thought I would phone to book my tickets. However for the exact same trains, they wanted to charge an extra £20. However, website finally allowed me to complete my purchase - £58.80 for return trip to York for family of 4. Thanks OP.

Got myself a single from Kings Cross to Edinburgh for £12:50 on 17th Nov, now just to wait for a cheap flight or train back. National Express have got a single for £3 but don't fancy sitting on a coach for ten hours, might get a numb bum :relaxed:
