I know they're originally skater shoes but how many skaters actually use them anymore? So what's the point still using the thick, orthopaedic shoe like soles?

The point is that it's basically a hard rubbery slab and as such much healthier to wear than shoes with "support".

I have no idea why these are so popular. They are cheaply made & poor quality & have a true value of about 20p
