I had an actifry - it died after 4 years so got this to replace I like this even more as its easier to clean the large glass bowl and somehow it doesnt dry food out 2 pizzas for kids (from frozen or sometimes make our own from scratch) goujons frozen oven chips for the kids sausages bacon the wife likes quiche done in it chicken / fish wrapped in foil with seasoning if we're making a sunday dinner we just fill the large oven with enough for 3 dinners then cover in fridge reheat roasties, veg, meat in the halogen oven and its just as nice I'll admit the "chips" from the actifry cant be replicated in this but i never cared much for them anyway - i like my chips deep fried - all in or dont bother

3 years seems to be the standard Tower guarantee(watch the video on Amazon).

Any halogen oven under £30 is a good buy and can do what an air fryer can. Though I doubt you can cook a whole chicken/turkey from frozen and if you can, it would take as long as any convection oven cooks a fresh bird, which would defeat the saving on time and fuel which you normally save with these fantastic halogen ovens. Recommend to anyone. Heat added.

That's just like saying your conventional oven can do anything an air fryer can which is true but more inconvenient re. turning the food to make sure its evenly cooked and coating each item individually with oil or spices by hand. When I make potato wedges or roasted veggies in my tefal air fryer I chuck the prepared food in in, add a bit of oil and spices/seasoning, then that's it until the beeper says its ready. This doesn't have that level of convenience at all.

And (as a bonus) consider the TIME and MONEY you will save, as (for example) when it comes to cooking frozen items, where you would normally have to PRE HEAT? With the Halogen, you don't  and so, often your food is ready B4 your "Normal" Oven will have.
Also, in Aldi's case, the 3 year warranty? VERY handy. I've found the PLASTIC parts on these can be weak. The cradle, and timer switch in my case.
My 1st Oven was returned to the retailer Robert Dyas, as I snapped the cradle as I removed it from the box...from new, via the handle, and the 2nd was replaced without any fuss, some 18 months out of warranty, by the supplier (Ultimate Products...A1 to deal with) when the timer switch split. The exact same looking Oven (Many "brand names", many different prices, but often the same oven)

It already comes with a 3 year warranty from tower, the guy in the tower promo video on Amazon says so!

They have been £39.99 for several months now, so ten quid cheaper but 99 quid lol maybe when they first came out many many years ago! This DOES HAVE A 3 YEAR warranty you have to register with tower within 28 days of purchase to extend the warranty. When they first brought out these " halogen oven" air fryers the only thing that made then a fryer was the tiny mesh trays which were very expensive to purchase alone at the time. As far as frying chips go well I don't think anything will ever replace oil fried proper chips. I often have to reheat proper fried chips for hubby that is not in at dinner time and the halogen can reheat them with no loss to quality at all where as microwave goes soggy and oven dries them out! For other items such as scampi, fish fingers chicken nuggets etc these work a lot better than conventional oven as they go crispy but don't tend to dry out. I hardly ever use my oven now and wouldnt be without mine.

Just CLICK on the box "No Image Available" to be taken to the Robert Dyas Site, and the product details...so I found
These offer no real benefit except if you have a gas oven/very old electric oven or cook in small batches (single person/couple with sparrow appetite). Good price though for those that will benefit from it.

Whilst 99 is an utter joke, we got one of these a few years ago as a present. Initially we thought it was a crap gift but we use it a lot now. It is so handy to do small amounts when it doesn't make sense to put the oven on.
