Been to them today. Was really good. Although there was competition there was also a lot of friendship & camaraderie.

Was a little confused by "Olympics" in the title, but I see this is the "Special Olympics GB’s National Games". Have some heat.

I actually think they should charge for this, I think it devalues it if it's free. Even just a pound each or something. What do others think?

The opening ceremony is £5. Personally, I think all events held in the city should be free, as otherwise some people are excluded. Not only from viewing events, but from parts of the city, and that just wouldnt be right. We have so many free to all events in Manc, it's great. It promotes civic pride and a sense of belonging. Just my opinion

I've been to Sheffield too.
I liked their bus service - when it was the socialist republic of east Yorkshire.
