MicroUSB charging. I've had a pair for several years, they sound fine and the NC is good enough to make a difference but don't expect miracles. I really like them but the NC is not in the same league as my QC25s.

Guys can anyone who owns these clear up the battery situation. Do they have a battery compartment which you have to put your own batteries in (rechargeable or otherwise) OR is there a charge port on the headphones themselves?

I'd like to know that too as looking to buy a pair of decent headphones with NC under 100.

Great spot thanks OP ! Have mine now and they are the BN version so we can put that to bed.... Bluetooth and noise cancelling ... Also supplied with a charging cable, 3.5mm cable if you dont want to use bluetooth and a nice cloth bag :-)

Is the Argos description correct? All the reviews say that it the BN version that has noise cancelling, not the BT version.
The BT version is the wireless Bluetooth version without noise cancelling.
I'd recommend getting these from Amazon (or JL), Argos made a similar mistake a couple of years ago mixing these up with the wired version.

I have these headphones and they are excellent. Haven't got a bad thing to say about them. I paid £108 about 3 or 4 months ago so this is a good price.
The Bose headphones may well be better, but they're probably considerably more expensive and any gains will be small. For me, the Sony's hit a sweet spot for performance and value. Get them, you won't regret it.
Update, I just noticed that these have the BT suffix, the ones I have are BN. Mine have bluetooth and are the blue/black colour scheme.

Haven't even picked the Philips ones up yet!

I think something might be wrong, im sure the 770bt are bluetooth only and the 770bn are wired or bluetooth. on sonys site the bt are $99 and the bn are $229, argos do the bn for £109 and the bt for £89,

Oh dear! I think that's definetely a mistake on Sony's part as the price elsewhere is around £100 (Curry's, John Lewis etc)

im 100% certain the 770bt are bluetooth only, and the 770bn are wired or bluetooth, i own the 770bn and theres miles more bass than my 10rbt, im impressed,

From a quick googling, it seems that these are BNs. Argos has just listed them wrong. Amazon and John Lewis have price matched them on the BNs too.
Cheers, if anyones going to buy just make sure you get the bn version. as they have active noise cancelling and wired/bluetooth, the 770bt are just bluetooth.

I have these and they sound great. Only notable issue is with windy conditions, it can be heard quite audibly through the headphones. I tend to use these with my hood up so not really too much of a problem for me.

Are these worth it for the money or am I best stumping up the extra for a pair of Bose?

From what I can tell from googling the model they seem to be pretty well reviewed. I think with Bose most of it is just the name

No, otherwise Sony wouldn't have launched the 1000X.

That's like a £300 headphone though, it looks fantastic but it's not £89.99. Seems like this one is more intermediate and the 1000x is the big daddy?

Just noticed these aren't the ANC version, explains the price.
