Seems they may have removed this item...web site may be down for maintenance but perhaps they're changing the price.

Ended up collecting the ones I had already reserved on fast-track from store today and was shocked to be given the inferior XB950BT ones and not the newer B1's (!?) - what the hell lol??? Am I the only one here who wasn't given the B1's???

Can someone confirm - do these work with the PS4?
rev6 to Master_Yoda

Probably not unless they've lifted the "restrictions". Only a couple did when I last checked. Not even their MDR-1000X's do. Which is laughable.

Wow - ok. Sony are completely nuts. If they expect to force people into buying the Sony 2.0 Bluetooth Wireless PS4 headset, they need to make them with a lot better build quality lol. I'm fed up of using the Sony PS4 headphones as the plastic on them keeps failing - they are not fit for purpose. I've had to buy brand new replacements several times now and won't be buying another pair. Also, every time they have failed, Sony have refused to replace them or help in any way and said tough. Their attitude stinks - can't believe they've purposely prevented their own headphones from working with their own console (...)

Just writing this to potentially help someone...
I was VERY close to buying a set of these last week but then read the reviews. I suggest you do the same if you're a potential buyer. In a nutshell, they offer a lot of bass, but poor overall quality sound.
I ended up buying some AKGY50BT's instead. And yes, I'm aware they're more expensive but the old saying goes "buy cheap, buy twice"

How loud do they go? I've found songs Bluetooth headphones to be very limited in volume - you do get accustomed to it , however many complaints seem to focus on volume difference versus wired headphones

When in Bluetooth mode I have the vol on the headset and connected device just one level below max. I've installed viper4android on my Galaxy Tab S to get an increase in sound quality and volume. For the me perfect match.

Had mine for over a year and they get used daily by myself and the kids. Still look as good a new and no issues with the headband after all the adjustments.
Probably not the best for serious music listeners but for movies and EDM these are great and very comfortable for long periods.

There is a calculated failure rate of usually around 3-4% for any electronic good, means if they sell 100,000 a few thousand will arrive faulty or damaged. Now think how many faulty product gets on the shelf when they sell by the millions - Welcome to the world of mass manufactured goods. Paying more won't grand better QA either, but reputable brands give better service when it comes to giving out replacement.
Master_Yoda to alien_
23 Aug 17#54
As the price you pay increases for any item, the build quality / materials used / quality checks should increase to justify the increased cost and the failure rate should fall drastically. A pair of headphones worth £10 and ones worth £150 shouldn't have anywhere near the same failure rate...

Really good headphones. Bought them for £60 last year off amazon. Two issues: 1.) These are BIG! If you've got a round head, prepare to look stupid with these on; 2.) The bit of plastic that couples the ear piece on to the headband is prone to failure. Within 4 months of ownership I could see fatigue marks . 1 month later, I take them off and drop them on my duvet and off swings the ear cup, dangling by a wire. I've been using them since then with gorilla glue. Seems to have done the trick.
Nothing wrong with the sound quality. Truly exceptional for bass heavy music. I don't use the bass boost button as that's a crazy amount of bass

another question I have, my amazing in ear Sony Headphones which I got with an old Xperia phone had trouble playing in a Samsung phone and the same with my iPhone 7 when using the adapter due to some of the Noise cancelling features within the headphones...
Can anybody vouch for these working with the cable which is supplied on an iPhone 7 using the adapter? I have just reserved but won't collect if they don't work well, the issue I had was the sound only came out of one ear and sounded like it was in the distance

How do these compare to Beats Solo2? In terms of sound and how they sit on the ear?
I have wired Solo2's and they sound great but they sit on the ears and get uncomfortable after a while, also as they sit on the ear there's a fair bit of sound leakage which isn't ideal for a work environment.
After a decent pair of wireless over the ears what sound great with not much sound leakage at a decent price, can anyone compare to the solos?
Thanks
